Ok. Ive looked and looked, until I went cross-eyed with this. So can anyone help me with the scoring at the Dartford 7's.
In the rules (section 9) it states:
"Points are gained by:
Eliminating opposition Players 5 points per player (max. 35 points)
Keeping own flag in base. 15 points
Hanging opposition’s flag. 20 points
Maximum possible score: 100 points"

Now I make that 35+15+20=70.
Where do the other 30 points come from?
Cheers (I'm not stupid......honest)

yeah

and wtf is sostas rule,

should be strange to see how the return of penalty points affects things, thought the 141 etc was meant to replace them.

Just spoke to Keiran and he apologises for the typo. Of course, it SHOULD say 50 points for hanging the opposition's flag.

He also apologises for the one inclusion of Sosta's rule. This is a rule used by the PA and Bully's 2k4 series in place of 1-4-1, and he meant to remove all references to it and replace them but managed to miss one!

With players pushing the rules as much as possible these days, many series are penalising rule breaking by both penalty points and either Sosta's or 1-4-1. Either one on their own doesn't seem to be enough of a deterant for some people

We got a copy of the rules emailed through from the organisers.

Liz.....please say that the inclusion of the PA 'must have jersey tucked into belt' rule is a typo too? I look emaciated enough without having to tuck my shirt in as well! :)

They were mailed to all the captains, who SHOULD have passed them on to their players.
Longer term they will be posted somewhere, probably the Rekka web site, but with Dave away in HB for 2 weeks until yesterday Keiran didn't have access to this.

Posted at the same time!
Sorry no, that isn't a typo. We're trying to get as much consistency across the various series as possible, so the only changes to the rules really are those dealing with Sosta's rule (a poll of southern players said the majority much prefer 1-4-1), those that deal with single flag (as Dartford 7's is 2 flag), and those dealing with details of the pitch layout as there just won't be the time and resources to conform to that. Longer term it is hoped that the fields at Pull! will be able to conform to the pitch layout rules, and those will go back in :)
The tucking in of jerseys rule is there to cut down on the incidents of players wearing oversized tops hanging down over their packs - note that it says "must be EITHER tucked into the lower garments OR secured by a pack or belt", so most people at the PA last month just put their packs on over their jerseys, like most of us do anyway.

A couple of rules that grabbed my interest.

guns fired after the 10 sec call and b4 the game on call will incur a -25 point penalty

how about us Angel users who want to start our timers?

If wearing padded shirts - no further padding allowed in those areas ie no Arm pads

So I am gonna have to cut the padding out of my Dye 04?

Don't think the 2nd rule is as bad as it sounds considering the other threads on p8nt and the amount of padding that some manufacturers are putting into their shirts now, just upsets me i have to take the c4 under the knife

They said if you clothes are padded it just means that you cant wear a layer underneath

And scuse my ignorance, but why does the timer on an angel have to do with firing

Just add 30 secs at the beggining for the call then you know what is what
