Custom charges when importing from America?

I'm hoping to buy a special edition Ego09 that is not available in the UK (and looks the dogs danglys) and was just wondering if the company sent it by USPS first class 5 day express, would it get through customs and into my gaping arms?

There's no reason it won't get through but not without collecting a huge amount of tax. You're probably looking near £100.

you insure it for £1000 your going to pay £200 plus customs charges which will be £30 on top. trust me i know

We are ordering our markers (all 09s) as a teamso 3-5 markers(+gear) does this mean we are going to have to pay more than a grand in import fees/custom taxes and insurance? CRIKEY!

yep if not more. should have gone to a UK company they would have looked after you. now your right in the poo if any thing goes wrong with one

Its just that the company we can get these from has also offered us a sponsorship at an amazing price which includes these markers and gear, obviously cant go into details though

Yeah, I think it was a sort of ''spread our wings'' sort of thing, you know to sponsor teams all over the world.
