Firstly, isn't it obvious he was dry firing? Would anybody expect to shoot paint after taking out the cocking rod? And secondly, the bolt still cycles on a cocker, it is not driven in any way by the cocking rod.

But obviously there's you answer if people complain about the noise: shoot paint. If that's too expensive, get more sponsorship ;)

This really doesn't seem that unreasonable, the 'ccoker is just operating as a blowback, meaning that something, be it spring pressure from the valve stem, or gas being released from the valve, is causing the hammer to reset. Doesn't seem like anything too serious, you just might want to check that your pressure settings are correct, maybe change your valve spring, check your valve O-rings, and make sure it's seated okay.

cheers pup not quite sure what your trying to say there? Are you insulting me or bigging me up?

or a bit of both:D

Anyway, Headshot you need to sweetspot your in line reg to find the optimum pressure/ velocity.
With that valve i would think it to be around 300 to 350 psi. You should then be able to achieve 290 fps with a supa light main spring! If the problem persists we will have to post it of to the Vatican!!!!
Also make sure that you're lpr is set right should be able to pull the backblock back quite easily with you're hand when its gassed up.
I have a gauge set for doing you're reg I think i intended to do it for you at hilton park but we never got round to it. If you're springing is the same as it was at hp then that needs sorting.
Give me a bell, i have loads of main springs for rex kits lying about, doing nothing. Seeing i dont have cocker anymore you might as well have them
