I was under the impression that the paint we use is supposed to be biodegradeable, but I must be wildly mistaken.
My spare egg II hopper went out on loan recently and came back with lovely pink paint on the hopper above the feed neck. Most of the hit had been wiped off but paint had got into screw hole by the feed neck. Now because of my haste to leave the hopper got a quick wipe, put away in my bag and because it is my back up has stayed there for 3 weeks forgotten.
Tonight I thought need hopper to upgrade it to y board, got a z-board now in main one so i've got the y-board spare. when I took the screws out of the feed neck holes the retaining sockets crumpled away, plus a small part of the shell all where the pink paint was.
My point must of coursebe two fold
1. thoroughly clean all your kit regularly and as soon after use as you possibly can.
2. WHAT THE HELL IS IN THIS PAINT THAT CAN DEGRADE HARD PLASTIC?
New shells please!!
