Don't panic. Do you have a spare drive you could install windows to? If yes unplug your current drive and plug the spare drive in instead. Install windows then plug your old drive in as a slave drive then boot the pc and install easy recovery pro, do a raw scan of the old drive which should now be the secondary drive. Hopefully you'll have a pile of files to wade through which will include the files you need.

Remember you can recover files from pc's that have had windows installed over the old info.
Are you based in the north at all, I'd be happy to help, we women need to stick together :).

BTW I always Ghost a drive before trying to recover data, this way you can always revwert back to the original state and try again.

Stealing Al's PC parts
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if using recovery programs you NEVER install it to the drive that your recovering from. Odds are while youve been tyring all these programs and doing it incorrectly that youve already overwritten the file. Which, no one in this thread or links mentioned. Another reason why people who have no f*cking idea what they're on about shouldn't offer PC advice on a forum.
Sorry Bon, I had mine on a flash drive too, total brain funk :(

Do a system restore to when you had the files do this by:Start, Help and Support,Pick a task:Undo changes to your computer with System Restore, Restore my
computer to an earlier time and then let it restart and stuff hopefully you will have your files back.

Oh whoops see you have already done that my bad.

Staying warm on a sunday!
sorry lemon,

Bon is right.

when it comes to recovery software you need to either run it froma flash drive or another drive from the one yo uwant to recover data from.

get data back pro

and easy recovery are quite good.

but it maybe that you have already overwritten the segments where the data was stored.

if it was that important then i suggest taking to a specialist who will take great pleasure in doing naughty things with your wallet.
