Wrong.....

Watch a Dynasty player or anyone who knows what they are doing, particularly in a couple of the NPPL dvds..... If there is no incoming threat then one can make use of the large field of view and excellent cover that a back lie-down can offer. A lot of inexperienced players don't make use of this possibility and are surprised when the other team does.

Yeah, I agree with you but at our level (beginner/ rookie), you don't see that too often as far as knowing what they are doing...
I've used this (over the top) from time to time but am very careful to duck when things get hot.
Most newbies don't know any better (snapshooting from the sides of the bunker) and often abuse the topside to the point they are easily taken out.

if the back bunker is a lay down then its a dam good idea to shoot over the top. gives you total view and control of the field (providing you have large testicles)

Ok, BIG mistake....running over the tape after hanging the flag. Man, you gotta be DUMB to do that....

most people just snap shoot and then get cyclopsed ,before you snap shoot you gotta have a very quick look then snap shoot when you feel safe to do so, i call it the head jug

While the head jug is good for a quick intel.
A good snap shot(1) can be just as fast.
A further benefit to shooting is that some players instictively duck.

nah hanging the flag on YOUR side once youve owned them is even more stupid...but ive never seen that happen...nope...not once....

I have seen it happen a couple of times its well funny i love the teams faces when the dude loses the winning game for them,

I think Rob from Inferno did that once.
