If you scream those kind of insults at people loud enough you are going to get booted off the team. I believe his team don't even rate him very highly anyway, he played very few games in Denver.
Personally I think the writing is on the wall. I am sure he is contractually obligated to stay with an NPS team or even just to use NPS products, but contracts with players/teams are seldom worth enforcing as there are often no assets to be threatened.

I think if they can drop him, they can cut him. I don't know for sure if he is gone, but like I said, I would be seriously suprised if they kept him around.
You could hear him berate his team from 100yds away. The last time I saw him do that was the last time he played for Avalanche. Seeing as the decision-makers on the team will have seen this behavior before, I expect the outcome to also be the same as before.

Course I could be wrong....

....maybe the Hurricanes should make him an offer.

This isn't and shouldn't be a Hurricanes v Infamous thread and I by no means mean to disparage Lasoya, Infamous or "Missy Q".

That said: There is a significant (and obvious) financial investment in Lasoya by NPS. Go open a magazine and count the number of NPS ads that feature the man. Its not cheap to run those ads. Hell, its not cheap to change them. I am sure that NPS (a sophisticated and legally empowered company) has backed their investment up with a contract that contains an iron-clad expiration date and non-compete.

Moreover, NPS would have an easy time demonstrating damages should Lasoya breach contract. They have invested in his image & namesake and the sudden loss of the use of such represents injury. For that, NPS could sue. And should it turn out the Lasoya was in talks with another company, as has been indicated, that would certainly represent tortureous interference with the existing contract, and for that NPS could sue.

Net-net, Lasoya exists on a different plain than other players. He is a marketing engine as significant as the whole of Dynasty. NPS has made a very significant investment in him, and they will protect that.

As for the Hurricanes making him an offer... I think Chris is too big a star for a homespun team of kids. I would be afraid of what effect standing so close to the light shone on him would do to the rest of the team.

Not to mention the effect of being loudly berated by the superstar all the time would have on your up-and-comers. Chris has a lot of value as a player and a marketing device, but the baggage is enormous.

EDIT: I'd like to see him with the Naughty Dogs. I think Rocky is capable (in terms of character) of being his captain as few others are, and it could be the thing to kick the Dogs one step closer to consistent top finishes. Also, no contract issues for NPS- just change the color filters in Photoshop and make all the yellow into red.

Arsenal is a perfect fit when it comes down to attitudes and marketability but it will not happen because the money isn't there - even if the will was.

Lasyoa back to WDP? Can't see that happening, wasn't there some proper fall out after the Avalanche collapse?

Arsenal already has the ego of Marcus...... you think they would be able to put up with each other?

Yeah

Im sure Gino and the gang will get together and burn wads of $100 bills too, or even run around the streets throwing them at people.
