Brutally honest much?
Robbo's right...as a lucky American who has lived abroad in England, I've seen both American tourneys and British ones. I've played at American fields and work at a British one (Campaign rules! Go play there NOW!) As it is, people in the U.S. have so many fields where they can play, and so many opportunities to do so. In the U.K., paintball is a once-a-year thing for many. Basically, this means a smaller pool of rec-players, which means fewer choices for teams, which means blah blah so on.
HOWEVER, I'm really pleased to see that the longer I work at Campaign, the more and more kids start asking where they can get kit (I really try to help them, because hey, more people playing=more targets. Er, I mean, players.) I think in a few years, the difference between U.S. and Brit teams will be much less noticable.
As for Nexus, they rule. Holy poop, they are going to be bigger than...cheese. Or something. I've only met Jamie Abbott and Truter, but they're powered by a gun that is clearly the greatest thing ever, not to mention that they're England's best team to date. I think that they will soon enough be a force to be reckoned with. I hope they gel well as a team, because it'd be great to see an English team up on the podium more often.
