Not everyone cheats !

Back in the day, when I played with the Redskins in the Home Counties League, I cheated a lot.
So now I know why my guys could never win against the Redskins in those days!:D As a team that genuinely didn't cheat, we had no chance.:D :D :D

Nick, I was joking honest! Didn't you see all the smileys? The Redskins were a much better team than mine full stop, though we did have some very close games with them.
I'm pretty sure I know which Pro team you were talking about though, I became a much better woods field marshall from watching them over the years

As a new tourney player, I am a little concerned about a couple of things I have read on here....

On sunday, playing in a tourney I was thought I took a hit on the battlepack, I was playing fairly tight and if I had moved my head to check my pack I would have been light up like a christmas tree... so not wanting to get shot out if I wasnt already I yelled marshall check me please, nothing happened immediatley so I am assuming that I am clean and carry on playing..... about a minute later I hear yelling ... look around and 2 marshalls are standing on the side line waving and yelling at me.... it took a few seconds to work out what they were getting at. I had indeed got a battlepack hit and I stood up and walked away....

Now is it the players responsibility to check he is clean if he is in a situation that is potentially dangerous to him? If I had moved up the field moments later would I have been playing on and penalised? should the marshalls not have run to me and pulled me out immediatley? Who is at fault here?

I will state this now, I have not and will not cheat, ever. No two ways about it... if I have to cheat to win a game, the game aint worth playing.

The marshals were at fault there.

You are only required to watch your self check area.

The marshalls SHOULD have gone over to you. Standing "on the sideline waving & yelling" is NOT the way to tell a player he/she has been eliminated.
I know that you can get into a world of pain judging on sup'air fields if you aren't careful, but I think I've noticed that some marshalls seem even less inclined to get in there to check players than ever. You just can't do the job without moving from the sidelines occasionally.
