I'd actually disagree with that, I find the etek/etha LED boards simpler to change modes than the LCD (or OLED as everyone seems to call them?) on the Ego, providing you've got the manual with you or have a good memory. Ease of programming would be far down my list of priorities though, reliability, customer service and availability of spares are high up my list, something that Vanguard markers are lacking really
I agree, programing a board shouldn't really be a factor in deciding which marker to buy, but I can see the appeal of having a screen to a newcomer. I can see how relying on nothing but a flashing LED could be daunting. And yes, I didn't want to sound too negative by mentioning it, but it's worth noting that, as reliable as Ego's are, parts for the older ones are getting scarce, even more so for Angels as the company no longer exists, and Vanguard has stopped production on Creeds and shipped of the US (although parts for them are still relatively comon and cheap).

Just to say Narkadox I'm not having a dig for saying the Egos have OLED boards, it seems to be used as the general term for boards with a screen in paintball :)
Haha nah no worries dude. I just call them OLED's because that's what it says in my Creed's manual. But yea, Ego's are LCD. Just different technologys.

For a paintball marker out in the daylight most of the time LCD > OLED

Personally, I'd far rather have a display and a well designed UI than the ball-ache of memorising light colours and keeping track of flashes.
