You're probably going to laugh but can all electric paintball marker be capped? I need a marker which is around 10-11bps on punter days but as fast as my fingers on walk- on days. If not which markers can?

Almost all - some older markers may need a software update, but almost every modern e marker will be capable of 10bps capping

Going capped to uncapped depends on the board, for example dye/proto require you opening the grips to change settings, planet eclipse are easy if you dont have the tournament lock on

All depends on the Board. As a general rule anything with an OLED board will be much easier to program than a marker with an LED board. Relatively cheap markers with OLED boards are Creeds, newer Angels and Ego 7/8/9.

But I wouldn't base your decision on what marker to buy on how easy the board is to program. Changing the settings on the most fiddly of boards will be easy after you've done it a few times.

Depends how flexible you are with your budget. A nice Creed or Ego 8 will set you back around £200, and you can get an Ego 7 or an Agel A1/Fly for around £150. You'll struggle to get anything with an OLED board for much cheaper tbh.

150 sounds perfect imo, i have a 200 budget on marker/hopper/gastank

I'd actually disagree with that, I find the etek/etha LED boards simpler to change modes than the LCD (or OLED as everyone seems to call them?) on the Ego, providing you've got the manual with you or have a good memory. Ease of programming would be far down my list of priorities though, reliability, customer service and availability of spares are high up my list, something that Vanguard markers are lacking really

Just to say Narkadox I'm not having a dig for saying the Egos have OLED boards, it seems to be used as the general term for boards with a screen in paintball :)
