now this is one part that pissed me off. we told family and friends about the players party thinking it would be a good night  so we arrived to party and there were 20 people there  some party animals you lot turned out to be !
was it because it wasn't late what ? gutted not to had some beers they should have had a DJ and pumped it up had it open till 12 it may have got some of you there.
An MS players party should never be on Saturday - both Joy Masters and Toulouse have proven several times why Sunday night is the best day for it.

Granted, some local players may have left because they have to work monday.... but for all the participants from abroad, Sunday is when you party... and if locals want to join in... take monday off ;)

P.S. - Sunday night WAS a blast

Well I loved it!

I agree with the food, it was poor. so I lived at the Ice Cream van :D lol.

M5 Fields where fine, some funny marshall decisions but overall not bad atall!!!

Bit fussed about the CPL being tucked away, would have thought that would be more central so people get a much better look of it, I only got to watch the finals :(

But oh well, everything else was fine! Really enjoyed it. Cant wait to play poison ivy again :D lol

Cheers.

I loved it. But then it was my first. Trade show was fantastic and I wish I had had more cash to spend. I spent the day wandering around with my Proto carrier bag with my jacket still on lol Got to see and talk to Paintball celebs, see team-mates from Guildford Elite...or former in some cases. Saw some of the Campaign walkon guys including Dave who was Marshalling CC and let is in on some gossip. And Tony from Basic who I mistook for Ledz of Eclipse initially. Although he did persuade Chris Lasoya to come out for a quick photoshoot with me for my wife, (who couldn't attend as she's pregnant.)

I know some people have complained about the food I thought it was good, (nice smiley girl serving kind of helped when they ran out of ketchup and had to send someone to Asda.) The food tent and immediate area was too smokey though because of the cooking, but it tasted good, was an ok price, and was a quick service. Drinks were reasonably priced and the Ice Cream van was well stocked.

The toilets were.............just about usable. Whoever caused the scene in the third gents toilet stall should be shot though.

The pro's/celeb's were approachable and nice....that I saw. Chris Lasoya was very visible and friendly, Ryan Greenspan and Glen Takemoto I don't think actually moved from near the entrance the whole of sunday. Poor guys were so desperate for flights home they had to sell their kit lol But they were talkative and friendly. I didn't realise the girls serving in the Eclipse tent were the same girls from the Eclipse catalogue until I got home lol But again all the tent staff were really helpful and friendly. I didn't get to see Nicky Truter though to say "I am your mum" lol

M5 fields were easy to wander round and watch matches on. I even spotted Ledz of Eclipse sneakily playing on one of them. The SPL and CPL fields were good but we really needed to be closer to the fields as it made it difficult to see clearly anything past the half closest the stalls. But Joy dual bunkering the Phoenix player in the centre M had loads of cheers from the crowd and we all clearly saw Joy acting in unison. And Nexus were on home turf......although they seemed to have larger foreign fanclub.....well louder anyway. The guys with the Nexus flag and dustbin turned in to a drum shouted their all for Nexus.

Commentating was ok but only one of the two commentators could really be heard. It could also have done with an NPPL style webcast tbh. GET NICKY T TO COMMENTATE MILLENIUM EVENTS !!!!!!!!!

Only real gripe..........I took my jacket and umbrella expected rain and none came. And I missed out on the Draxxus Loader coz Jon of Freaks deep throated the water pods lol Great fun though even if I did feel a bit sick at the sight of water for the rest of the day and most of this morning.

All in all great fun, loads of goodies bought, great fun had, and definitely would have me paying out to go one of the events abroad :D (Definitely take more money though) :)

One two questions though......where was Ollie Lang, and where was our Robbo ?? Only celebs I didn't manage to snap pics of :(

Robbo was around the trade area on saturday (and sunday i think). So he was defo around.

Ollie Lang was playing with Bullets and did a signing session with some of his iron men team mates, and also nexus along side them.

So they were there you probably were just unlucky.

Plenty of faces around the event if you knew who they were.

Agreed about the stands they were a bit far from the netting but it meant you could take it all in a bit better. Possibly taller stands on the outside just so you can see the far side of the field a bit easier. Also as Nick mentioned all that space around the sides and no stands or access to sit on them.

But to be fair for my first playing milleniums it blew me away.
