As for Lasoya, yeah yeah he should set an example and all, but if he goes around acting like this then eventually people will lose respect for him in a big way...........he'll have to learn the hard way.
I think thats already started to happen, judging by the cheers he recieved everytime he was eliminated
I think he`s started to lose his edge anyways........roll over LaSoya, Dynasty are here :D

Everyone has there ups and downs, La Soya shot by mistake and the guy asked for it anyway!!!! it was an accident, i still think Lasoya rules, everyone goes thro bad stages like, BEckham, and now everyone loves him, after the World cup before last everyone hated him, it's the way games go, I think the tournament could of not been improved in any way, IT ABSOLUTLY ROCKED, In every game there will always be moaning and people getting to wrapped in games!! But cheers NIAL

I noticed how slowly the Americans walked off the field! Were they trying to distract the opposition?

Other teams ran or walked quickly off.

I also noticed that few players seemed to hold their arm up when walking out, is that not required at a Millennium event?
Can you not catorgize all AMERICANS in that statement? Or do you mean the American Pro teams?

As for the Judges and their tendancy to look the other way for the PROs I too saw this. Small but over looked by all judges. A certain pro players mask the bottom half turned up! My team mate had his turned up at break and forgot to turn it down. Not 2 steps on the field he was being told to turn it down. The other certain player NOT ONCE CORRECTED!

Oh yeah... Campaign was a top notch Tourney and most all teams acted in a manner that would take our sport to the TOP!

I thought the judges worked their collective arses off... A number of times i watched refs sliding into barricades alongside players checking them for hits. Other refs were running two thirds of the field to pull players that their counterparts had not noticed were hit.

Marshal on field 6 was checking the colour paint that each team was shooting to eliminate confusion about paint coming off the other fields either side.

etc,

etc,

etc! :D

Well done Niall!!! Thanks for a great weekend.

Extra kudos to Campaign Power. They were the only marshalling team that I saw that checked the numbers of layers of clothing players wore onto the field. Or perhaps Andy was just trying to cup a feel....:D Only other team I've seen do the same thing was Brutal Deluxe at Amsterdam.
I was also impressed with the judging done by Banzai.

I saw most of the 'lanche games bar the ones mentioned.LaSoya seemed to be having a bad weekend and that was made worse by the heckling of the crowd.Everytime a Avalanche lost a game the crowd would clap for the other team (excessively) just to piss them off.I don't think we made them feel very welcome.

So what if the guys got an attitude on the field. You need players like that:)

With regards to the shooting of dead players as they walk off the field, most of the time it is not done intentionally. Why waste your time shooting a player who is already out of the game when you could be posted on another LIVE player??? When players get shot out, especially in the middle of the field they have to walk through lines of paint that are being laid down by their own players as well as the other teams, and usually go straight into it. This is not done intentionally and is what I believe happens 90% of the time you see people getting lit up when they are out.

cheating

Sadly I have to agree with the earlier posts in this thread. I observed LaSoya blatantly cheating on 2 occasions in the same game. On field 3 i saw him wipe a hit from his barrel and play on. He was hit again seconds later & eliminated but instead of leaving the field by a direct route he weaved around a couple of bunkers shouting G4 G4 to one of his back players. Considering the crowd around the field i'm sure i'm not the only one who saw this as quite likely did the media...

There's a lot of trash talking about the Pro players - but I have to ask the question: These guys get noticed if they do something "wrong" because they are named players - everyone is watching them - but does the same attention get put onto every other team (130+ or something wasn't it)

Not condoning what happened here - but put it into perspective. We play an adrenaline sport = **** HAPPENS!!
