Ok,heard some mutterings that the Campaign cup is going to be held at Esher rugby club(down south).Let me set the scene, your grandad has just qualified for the uk darts championships guess where it is going to held????Now iam not having a pop but lets not go backwards, this is the time that we are supossed to be putting paintball on the map not holding it in stigs back garden!!!!Ok if that is the only place in the country that it could possibly be held then fair enough but why not have it up north or in the midlands or travel it around the country.Maybe post up options and give everyone a chance to vote for the best??

Come on Niall you are the man to give us the tournament that we want,we pay the money, we should get the benefits.

Dont sit back and just read this its your series have your say!!!!!!

These are just my thoughts of the day!!

Its all Nexolgy.

What's up with Crystal palace that place rocks, sounds like it would be a step back anyway. Up north might not be such a bad idea bet the hire of a stadium up north wouldnt be as expensive as the palace.

Location, Location.
Crystal palace is closing down form my understandings...

i myself would have no problem with a tourney in the midland sor up north.... midlands have all the train links that are needed and two airports so there's really no excuse there and i think that it's a good idea for it to be held up noth coz of the mecca of balling in uk is in the somanc area....

so niall, why can't we have a tourney a bit more up north in the same sort of venue?

The event was too small for the massive stadium at CP. The event rattled around inside the stadium resulting in a lack of atmosphere. the fields were far too spaced out as well. The stadium is also closing so moving is neccessary due to fators outside the Boards control. I do however suspect that they would have moved the event anyway.

The event needs to stay down south for a few reasons. The close proximity to Heathrow and Gatwick airports, and i know there are airports up north but still.

The location of Esher near to the M25 is a bonus, and means the event is highly accessible to all.

The lack of a stadium is not a problem. The Miami NPPL had no stadium, and it was the best event i have ever played.

The best thing to do is find a huge open flat grass area, surround it with security fencing(just like in Miami) and build the fields in a horseshoe shape around the players tents.

Niall can build grandstands by the side of each field, making an atmosphere that we can be proud of, close by the fields, so everyone gets a good view. How far were the stands back from the fields at Campaign!?!?!

The bleachers were right next to fields 1 and 2:rolleyes:

I believeManchester has an international airport, hotels and believe it or not,...roads;) It doesn't have to stay down South at all.

The event needs to be situated close to a large town or city so that we can all go out and see a bit more than the inside of a hotel room.

As for Crystal Palace being too big. That is not the case at all.
It just hasn't got the space in the right areas. As you rightly said, the fields were too spread out.

Basically the Campaign Cup is a Premier event and the climax to the season in Europe. It should therefore, be held some where other than a run down Rugby club in Molesey. At a place where you would get more interest than the local wideboys scoping the place for some thing to steal.

I have to agree with my bruv on this one The Cup has always been a good tournament but a poor climax to the season. If we hold it where it is rumoured, it will be neither.

Just my opinion folks.

Fair enough but if Esher Rugby Club is all they can get down south, what is the point.

Everybody wants T.V, outside sponsorship blah blah blah but can't anybody see that in order to get all this, the venue and availability to the general public is a big issue.

Time to be realistic guys. If they could get an event in centre of London, fantastic but they can't/wont so why not try and find a major city that can and will cater for an event of this nature?

It's not like there isn't time to sort it.

This Rugby Club is off the M25, so what
It's the slowest motorway in the country
Non of the international teams would be bothered about catching a train as long as they where given the details.
Just because London is the capital does not mean it's the best place to have the Campaign Cup.

Damn right DW.
London has all the international airports and the M25 but its the most annoying place to get to!
If the airports are an important feature, people flying in are still going to need to transfer from the airport to the venue. It's just as easy to get on a train to Manchester, Birmingham or whatever as it is to get to Esher, so what if it takes a bit longer, they've already flown in so it's not like its a big percentage increase in travel time!
