Bye Bye Blind dead Zones

Well done! I think this a clear step in the right direction for the millenium commitee. They ask our opinion, the sensible ones are taken into account and the end result is - hopefully - something that will work for, and satisfy the vast majority of players. Hopefully, in future they won't go making stupid rules without at least canvassing for the opinions of those who pay their way!!

Thanks to all who listened and those that had the balls to stand up and say that it wasn't right!:D

But that does take away the fun of seeing 2 people on 1 team waste like 500 balls and do about 3 ghost muggings cause they don't know how many are left.:D :D :D
Not that I go to any Millenium events.

It will be impossible to "accidently" step out as it will be totally enclosed. Like a little jail!!!

Also good for spectators and cameras to keep a check on dead players.

Markers will be outside the dead zone.

-100 points is nothing.

It penalizes those that breach the rule. Those teams that have to win at all costs, and try to cause as many problems as possible. If a top team does this they have absolutely no chance of winning. Punishment enough. It will not penalise the innocent.

141 will not work in this situation because a calculated decision can be made by the player as whether the consequences of his actions will cost him victory. With -100 points he has lost - full stop.

We will now have a netted dead zone tent which will be located in the corners of the field. Players can clearly watch what is going on.

Step out. Penalty points minus 100pts.

Communicate with team/ 1/4/1

Hope this is better for all

PS We are now all agreed
PPS I won :D
Very good move, well done.
One question. What about penalties for eliminated players talking to the refs? Will there be any?

Mr. You havent payed our way. Get that straight. We have payed your way.

And this doesnt mean that we will ask for opinions every time we have to change or do something.
What it does mean is that if players are unhappy with something we will listen. But please spare us the pay the way crap. Beacuse in my book we have payed and lost our own money to hold our events! okey???

Magued!!

Yo man! I acknowledge that the effort and finance envolved in the part of the millenium organisers is huge and for that we (the teams who play the series) should be grateful. However, the point i was mainly trying to get accross is that, no matter what, the ultimate power in the decisions that affect our sport should and in my opinion must lie with the players and not the organisers. Otherwise we will all lose out. Its basic marketing and politics to make dam sure that the poeple who buy/use the product like it. Any major organisation consults its customers befor a substantial shift in the product it is offering, in your case the rules. My posting was never meant as a criticism more of a thank you for allowing common sense to prevail.

No bad meant man!:D

Is that a mini jail in two corners of the field i.e. one for each team on the field? Coz I can see a fair few heated arguements occuing if you allow the eliminated players to mingle with each other. Actually sod it! They are always the best bits of the tourney.:D Apart from the playing of course.:D Nice job with the no blind dead zones. It was a bit annoying not being able to see what your team is doing after you have been eliminated.
