I think you will find the no returns on markers and paint is not for markers with a problem .
If there is a fault then you can send it back and they will sort it .
so far the results from teams who have used ions in tournys is good .
Give me a ring mate and we will sort out another training day with you guys and the tigers and we can bang heads a bit..

Spot on mate, some people have mis-interpreted the clause....

The non-returns policy is for people who just dont like it, i.e they buy it, try it out and dont like it so send it back. Obviously smart parts cant sell on a marker thants been shot. However if you bought a shirt for example and it didnt fit then you could send it back within 14 days as long as its still in re-saleable condition.

In my experience the customer service at smart parts was pretty good, i bought an on/off valve (in black as per picture on the site) and when i got it although the body of the unit was black the actual tap was red and me being a tart dont want any red bits on my gat :D so i phoned them up and asked for a swap and they pay the postage...at first they said they cant i would have to pay the postage (11 quid!) so i said well how would you feel if you bought a car and although it came in the colour you specified, the tyres were red?

He got the point and checked with his manager, within an hour he rang me back and said they would cover the postage, which is pretty good i think.

So just in case anyone orders anything make sure you add a note in the order of the EXACT colours you want!

I tell you what really makes me laugh.

ONE Ion fails to work and it gets a thread and a bunch of SP haters trolling on about the inferior quality of SP goods.

Yet when dozens of Timmys/Angels/Halfblocks don't work out of the box nobody says a word???? :p :D :D

I <3 Ions, leaves me more ca$h money to spend on women.

Edit - Goob, f'k off :p

I have to say I am very tempted by the Ion. I had a play with one at the weekend and it absolutely rips, and the ramping board is soooooooooo much fun. I don't think I'd use one as a primary but I'd certainly take one to tourneys as a back up. The fact that it's £200 makes it a very attractive prospect too, although I'd probably look to put a better ASA on it than the stock one.

Has anyone tried using one with Angel Air yet?

Yeah, the Ion works with Air - Big Nick in Synapse runs that, and tho I'm not normally an AIR fan, it actually balances really well. It also works well on HP, LP and if there was such a thing as mid pressure, it'd be fine with that...

Totally agree with Mr Pink above - it seems there are an awful lot of people with an opinion on the Ion out there who don't know anything about it. Hit three guys with timmys with it in a tourney game on Sunday and one of them still took the piss out of the Ion :) Hehe..!

Caspar - anything to do with the membrane button? They do get more flexible as you use them...
