Which has already been highlighted as unenforceable on a previous thread. It is a breach of consumer rights to enforce a policy like that, so they can't!

HERMITT : I guess your sig. explains your opinions, but have you used an Ion? Before bashing a marker and describing it in such belittling terms, try one...there are already hundreds of these markers snapped up in the UK, and the general opinion is that it is a good quality, good performance marker, and the throwaway "toy" term is just so much hot air from people that haven't been near one.

Hermitt, wanna put you and your gun up against me and my "Fisher Price" toy?

Oh, and don't forget that one of your sponsors shoots an Ion and loves it too;)

Ah Pinky you do such a good job of bigging up your sponsors!! Oh and as for mine, i think we all know he would have a smirk at what i said.

For what it is, the ion promises to be a great investment for first time players or those that want a cheaper spare (yes i have shot one) it's just a shame it comes from SPE where the customer service and reliability record are the worst in the industry.

May i also just highlight that under your statutory consumer rights you are more than able to return a paintball marker (or any other faulty product). If in doubt feel free to speak to trading standards or the relevent consumer watchdog:rolleyes:

now THAT i can agree with.

meh, the ion is damn good in terms of price and performance if you get it right and working properly :p .

i would buy one if i could be bothered or needed an extra gun, but as im relatively new and have an speed 04 im not in much of a rush lol.

good value for money and also quite a good 'n00b' grabber lol...or just an attempt for smart parts to grab some spare cash?

I wouldn't go that far until we've seen it's performance stand the test of time...

.....plus the lack of field-strippable-ness does limit it's tourney effectiveness somewhat.....I know that so far mine hasn't even whiskered in the direction of a burst, but it only takes one!

wasn't really saying it was, was just playing devil's advocate..! Have heard so much scepticism about it, I just like to throw something back. Yeah you're right - it's early, but if it's that duff the signs so far don't support that. But who knows..? I'm happy...

I don't buy that. My iR3 had a field strippable bolt and gave me a lot more hassle than my Ion which isn't strippable but which doesn't chop...
