Depends on how hard you throw them...

Any bounces off a hopper are down to luck and hard paint!

Hoppers are designed to be as smaller profile as possible and are rounded so any paintballs that skim the hopper have less chance of breaking.

But if its good quality paint and a direct hit on your hopper you will almost certainly be taking a walk to the dead box.

I got a few bounces on my mask lens and on my hopper last Sunday.

I've had bounces off my forehead before, and I don't mean glancing hits, I mean full on *smack*. It's always funny.

i shot someone in the mask once and saw the ref running in with the classic "oooooouuuuutttttttt" so i turned my attention elsewhere ... next thing i know i get mugged by that very same player, it had bounced.

i explained my disbelief for a ref reversing a decision on the fly lol

think i was wearing black socks, dont know if that helps?

If a judge runs in and yells "ooooooouuuutttttt" then the player is eliminated whether the shot burst or not, the judge cannot take back the call for the precise reason above. Not checking a shot before a call and then putting a player back in is bad, bad judging. You should have thrown your marker down and kicked off, that always resolves it......

lol yeah, i was aware of the rule and as i was captain on the day we had a discussion that he cant do that and he said yeah sorry and knew he was wrong so hopefully he learned from it .
