some (most) bottles seem to be locited onto the regs. stops the bottle getting taken off the reg while full (thats not a pretty picture). may be easier to take it to a gunsmith and get him to do it. air bottles are not things to mess around with. it wont cost much to get it done and to be honest the costs associated with buggering it up are very high.

Loctited to the reg? Had about half a dozen air systems ranging from nitroducks, angel airs, geddons etc and not had one loctited on? It seemingly isn't good for the threads of the bottle. As for unscrewing it while pressureised they seem pretty much impossible to move while under pressure, at least the ones in my experience do :)

It may seem like the bottle is loctited on when there's gas in it, but it shouldn't be. Try letting all the gas out then firmly gripping it, and it should move.

what ever you do dont loctite bottles on!

firstly there is no need, once the bottle is under pressure it aint going anywhere!

and 2ndly when you need to take it off to test it you could very easily damage the threads and it will fail a test.

So far I have had 2 bottles condemned by H-Pac because arses had loctited them onto regs in the past.

As my learned colleague said above, DON'T DO IT!

A.I.R.s, Max Flo's etc do not come glued to the bottle. That should be a hint for most people. Even screw in systems like my 2 Nitroduck X-Stream regs don't need glue. The pressure when filled will make it very difficult to remove the bottle. If you do manage to remove the bottle whilst pressurised you have no place on the paintball field.

If you glue your regs to your bottles you are throwing money away, or conning people who buy your 2nd hand kit and loose out when they come to get the bottle tested 3 months later.

I have an old Gov-N-Air system from WDP, and the tank threads are very different from my Geddon tank, so compatibility might be an issue. I know there were two standards at one time, the metric tanks, and the fractional, but who knows, WDP may have switched over, but I doubt it.
E-mail WDP and ask them what the threads on the AIR reg are, then e-mail the tank producer with the serial #, and ask them what the tanks threads are.
