Where was this tourney??
£30 entry , is a little high , especially when Air was not included.

1 1/2 boxes of paint = £60. So you were paying £40 a box , yes?
Thats not too extravagant , could be better though.

Did you split the costs of entry , paint , air , etc equally between the team? or did you buy your own stuff? Buying your own makes for an expensive way of doing it , and if you have one guy ( or more ) not really up to the game , or not enough money to buy paint , they sit back and let you wang the paint. Meanwhile , you're playing a man down ( effectively ). And it sounds like you were at least a man down most games anyway. Man that sucks.

Sounds like you had a **** day , and got ripped in the process.
Who did you play for? And again , Where was this?

I don't know what that works out to in real money (American dollars), but at my local tournaments we usually spend $45 on entry, $40-$65 a case for paint, we have our own scuba and fill station, so airs only 4 bucks, and games are capped at 10 min. (that's for a three man tourney, 5 man, entry is closer to $75, and game are capped at 15 min.)

Of course, we usually place in the middle (not 1st - 5th, but not last either), and the higher you place, generally the more game time you get because you have to go through more than one round, but that's just part of the game.

Exchange rate is approx 0.63$/£1.00 which means I spent $150.00 (in Mickey Mouse money).

Is that $45.00 entry fee each or for the team?

We tend to pay towards the top end of your scale for paint and the air is provided by a huge compressor which gives consistent fills to 4500.

The games were 7 minutes max (not that they ever took that long) this was because it was dark by 3.30pm/4.00pm.

It looks as though things are a bit cheaper over there but then we have always paid over the odds here.

It's $45 (or $75, depending) for the whole team, $15 a person. My scuba fills our three man team to at least 3000 all day, and games are capped at 10 min, so it's enough for us (although I'm thinking about a megabooster, so I can get 4500 into my Angel AIR). Right now for paint, we're using Zap Performance Plus (at only $40 a case) and it's shooting 100 times better than any of the diablo we used to use for 15 bucks more. If it's FPO, we usually spring for the best they have which is about $65, maybe $70, so I guess we do pay a little less than you (of course, in our civilized country, paintball is more popular, there's more suppliers, and thusly lower prices)
