Blisters!!!!!

Ranger

Looking for a team.
Ok mate...maybe one semi serious reply eh..
i had to break in 2 pairs of army boots and they are pigs....so if you dont want blisters do the following.
soak you shoes in warm water overnight, then whilst still wet put them on with a pair of socks. wear them for about an hour. Take them off and put some newspaper pr similar inside and allow to dry. this is to help the shoes take the shape of your feet.

For the total blister prevention. buy some zinc tape from a chemist and put a strip on your feet where you are most likely to get the blisters.
Combined this will solve the issue for you....well i know it worked for me and if you can force march 4 miles with 55lbs of kit in an hour in new boots without blisters then it must work.

hope it helps.

wear your new boots around the house to soften them up, when you dont wear them stuff them out with newspaper, so when you play next time they dont give you blisters. works for me

Wear liner socks, then another pair of socks over the top. The shoe will rubb the outter sock, which will rub against the inner sock which will protect your skin.

Try not to pop blisters as they can easily get infected  I know it's hard but hey, it's like mossie bites, don't scratch them and they don't itch. After a while you'll get harder skin forming in these areas.

Also, if they're new, wear your boots around the house for a couple hours a day to break them in and let your feet get used to them.

Also, if you are getting blisters in the same place each time, use blister pads (like "Moleskin") that you can get from boots/sports/outdoors stores. If you can't be arsed with that, use duct tape (clearly on unblistered skin, as otherwise it would rip it right off).

if your still getiing them after the water soak, try using some Compeed Blister Plaster's, they cost a couple of quid but once you put them on, you cant even feel the blister or the plaster.

tried and tested, they work a treat
