I agree with you, but , remember those players running of the likes of Tipmans on CO2 then this type of game will cost them £10-£15 more than someone running on air why?

If run air it costs me £5 pounds and can fill up all day.
If run CO2 and fill up 12 times in one day then it's cost me £12 pounds

it would have been better to charge one price full stop or should have be stated on the tickets.

my point is the hidden costs not being stated on the tickets and charging more for a player on CO2 when we should have a flat fee.
But Co2 doesn't cost the same as air to provide? so why should it cost the same to use?
Oh and by the way........ Olly has a huge amount of paintball experience and knows what he's talking about, he deserves more respect and he's anything but a mug. For example he'd know that neoprene armour is illegal in tournament and wouldn't make such a costly mistake ;)

And maybe try emailing the organisers before flaming them....... it's probably an oversight on the booking form.

Right I have donned the flaming gloves.....

Xman get your facts right. At kennys revenge we paid an additional 5 quid for air all day. This option was removed last year as it was added to the cost of the event. The reason why Warped have done it the other way is because there are a few people that have DOT bottles which cannot be filled by hpac. Now is it fair that a player with a DOT bottle pays the cost of fills even though they are not using the service. You haven't paid for this at any event due to the fact that the cost has been added to the cost of entry.
Tell you what xman, remove your head from your arse and see both sides of the story. If you don't like the situation don't play the game. If you are going to continue to moan about this why not have a moan about everything else like why pay a grand for a top end marker. After all it is is a piece of metal with a few electronics added for good measure. Why do we have to pay for paint as well after all with the costs that the companies have been charging over the years they should have brike even by now and give us the paint for free. Why should we have to pay site owners walkon fees. My god they should let us play for free as they make thier money from the customers that play there all the rest of the time.
Grrrrrrrrr.

K Rant over taking chill pill now.

Now things are just getting nasty.

It's been a while though :)

your sig is hurting my head........... yet strangely compeling. You need to speed it up and put subliminal messages in it.

JD- thanks mate, but I've never denied being a mug. Luckily, due to my cunning strategy of being **** at this game for the last fifteen years I have never felt the need to write anyone else's name on my vest. Having to work a little harder and being dumb enough to pay more than £18 a box for my paint is harsh, but I can say what I like, shoot the gun I like and the paint I choose without having to worry about pissing anybody off. And guess what- the vast majority of players in the world are in the same boat, and whilst few of them may think £35 for a box is cheap, they are prepared to pay it, especially as they may only buy a few boxes a year, and their paying the high prices leads to those lovely profits which are used to subsidse sponsored teams. Warped are a business, and I don't think it's unfair for them to make a profit. Prepaid paint makes it a lot easier to avoid over or under-ordering and if buying a box for £35 burns your hole so intensely then sell it on to one of the mugs who pays that anyway.
I had my reservations about last years NvS, but it was a mighty piece of work on the part of the organisers and they all looked half-dead by the end of it. This year they have listened to player feedback and the six-gang format should lead to plenty of actual fighting. Xman- I hope you make it, look for the big white tent and come and join us for one. ;)

I'm fighting sigs with sigs. (I wanted one line to move left to right while the other went right to left but I've no idea how to do it.)

As to this thread: consider xman's initial post. How many guys who want to rant about one abuse or another would pull the complete promotional post for the offending event and post it with the link for those who wanted to sign up? C'mon, he's promoting the event--just being, as I said earlier, moderately clever about it.

I’ll take back the mug part Olly and I’ll give you respect. But the point of the post in the first place is why are the costs hidden? Have you see the flyer, it does not state any more costs for the day,

And as to the sig, I didn’t put my sig on these posts as it's my views not the team’s views. And to the body armour yes some of our team made a very costly mistake but not again, people do make errors. But this post is not about the team if it was then I’ll put my team sig on.

Look this is about my views and hidden costs, and not the team as to the body armour that’s our fault for not checking what our plays were wearing mistake made but sorted, and before you go off posting again many other teams that day made the same mistake in the number of items being warn and body armour in some fashion, hands up yes BIG mistake but the post is about something else.
