I know we play paintball for the fun and love of the game, but when a company starts charging £5 a day to fill you air tank and £1 for each Co2 fill, which has allready cost £60 to enter the game then someone is ripping us off big style, please check out the prices below from the web site. it does not state this on the booking forms.

BOOKING DETAILS

Rental Price = £60 which includes all playing kit, ticket, 1000 balls & Co2,

Own Gunner Price = £60 inc ticket, 1st box of paint / 2000 BYO thereafter

Prebook Paint £35 per box (2000) or £40 on the day.

Air HPAC will have air in both basecamps filling up to 4500psi at £5 all day unlimited air fills.

Co2 5 Double fill stations at each basecamp at £1 per fill.

Camping and carparking will be available the same as last year.

Trade stands will be in both basecamps for all your equipment needs.

I don't see your point I'm afraid. If you allow for a price of £35 for a box of paint, the actual entry fee is £25, which includes camping, game fee, entertainment etc, and even if you add £5 for gas, £30 is still about the same as the other big games. So where's the ripoff? I know some people may object to having to get their first box from the organisers, but this way they can have a better idea of how much paint to order in and £35 for a box is ok as long as it's good paint.

Have you ever paid for HPAC air on any big game? I haven’t and never on any tournament or site, so why is this BIG Game changing for AIR at £5 and £1 for every CO2 bottle filled, on any game we have played when air is on site it’s free same as CO2. I think your being a bit dump mate, when you say you can’t see my point,

Example Stars Wars 2003 £35 including BBQ, tea and camping space, unlimited air and CO2, free for both days. I don’t see these ripping us off like this new big game. and as for the paint who pays £35 a box, i don't then again I am sponsored and your not, that why you will paid the £5 pounds and say thank you to man.

p.s. £35 and the site will be ordering around 700 boxes so the company must be buying each box for about £18 and selling it on at £35, tell me who ripping us off then. unless you a mug, which you seem to be.

Who says that every BIG game has to be charged the same?

Maybe this big game has a different deal with HPAC so they don't pay HPAC to be there but HPAC charge the players instead?

You also seem to forget that the organisers aren't putting on the big game solely for your enjoyment, thats a really good way to burn money (personally I'd use a lighter ) they are there to make some money out of the game too... its a business not a charity.

I agree with you, but , remember those players running of the likes of Tipmans on CO2 then this type of game will cost them £10-£15 more than someone running on air why?

If run air it costs me £5 pounds and can fill up all day.
If run CO2 and fill up 12 times in one day then it's cost me £12 pounds

it would have been better to charge one price full stop or should have be stated on the tickets.

my point is the hidden costs not being stated on the tickets and charging more for a player on CO2 when we should have a flat fee.

That is part of your argument that I did agree with to be honest, maybe Co2 should also be charged at £5 unlimited fills all day.

However saying that the organisers are marking up the price of paint too much I don't agree with, as I said they do have to make some money out of the event and the game fee will hardly cover the costs of staff etc.

i agree a bit over strong on the paint price, but i do think hidden costs shouldn’t be hidden. I don;t mind paying but then to find out it's going to cost more than the ticket says well what more do i say. i'ts like water in the pub at 1.50 a glass, but it't tap water.

Do bear in mind that £5 per player is what HPAC charges the organisers of tournaments, big games etc. Now don't get me wrong, I think HPAC are excellent value for money and the impact they have had on safety at big events is great, just don't forget that this cost has to be borne somehow by the organisers. Some include gas (air or CO2) in the game fee and some put it down as an extra, but whatever way they do it the cost still has to be covered somehow.
