Blimey, quite a day.
First time at the Big Game for me and what a blinding experience.
Got there Saturday and hit the shops with my mate Stacey who had some stuff to buy. Very friendly and helpful people manning the stalls. I must say though I felt a bit sorry for them having to listen to that CD on loop all weekend, I'd have gone mental.
Registration was a breeze, camping areas were very nice, loads of toilets and clean enough too. (I'm a festival veteran and believe me, those were clean). I also think it's great being able to park next to your tent.
Saturday night was great fun and I have to say the bar was
very keenly priced and the Scottish guy running it was very friendly. I didn't see too much of the party as I was outside shooting the breeze.
It all went wrong for me on Sunday morning when my TM7 decided it didn't want to come out and play. Still don't know if it was user error or a fault. Kee were amazingly helpful both Saturday and Sunday helping me with my gear. Even lending me a replacement TM 7 so that I could play. Without them I would have been an observer, thanks Kee.
Finally out on the field at 11am and trying to get my head round the size of the place. Awesome.
Playing highlights were the advance up around the top of the site after liberating the cafe back from the North with some nice flanking moves by everyone concerned.
Also the walk through the woods later in the day with Warlock (NST), SwolfmanC (SPS), Shadow5235 (SPS) and some other guys whose names I didn't catch to come around the rear (oo-er) of the 3 guys who were at the end of the wall holding up our advance. They had no idea we were there until 5 of us appeared out of the trees behind them shooting. They ran. lol. We then came up behind a bigger group who were trying to retake the building as the Warren Wood Rangers and assorted others came piling in from the left. Took them by surprise as well.

Finally, when the north did the massive push up to the cafe late in the day, staying forward when everyone else withdrew to behind the cafe. Turning round and seeing 50+ north players within range. They hadn't seen me so I started shooting, i knew what would happen next and it did. POW, BLAM, KAPOW, OUCH.
Watching that push after being eliminated and out of paint was quite impressive. Well done you Northern nutters.
Anyway, super long post over. Looking forward to next year.
