TIMMYYYYYYYY! :D

Epic weekend! My mates chipped in to buy me a ticket so I played in the end. I believe the final kill count for the south was 3,872 (approx 500 more than the north) which put us 200 points ahead of the north who held conscript hill successfully at the end. It was nice to meet some of you guys (We were camped by the porto pottys next to the tree of dreams), but wished I'd made more of an effort to hunt some of you down. My favourite bit had to be holding the clearing at the bottom of the main road while the reds pushed through the trees along the road (either that or watching my mate ruslan puke up paint in the paintball eating comp lol). I had a lot of fun in the mega arena too though, that was a great little field to play. Can't wait to next year!
I was stood there also, it was pretty hairy :) Did you see the 2 or 3 north players that popped up through the tree's and were lit up by around 10 guys who didnt stop untill their hoppers were empty, ouch!

I didn't know where any of the missions were going on, most of the time our group simply went round engaging the north wherever we could. The playing area was massive, and echoing above I feel that my blisters blisters even have blisters on them.

Awesome weekend overall though :D

lol, yeah I saw that. I was one of the two guys behind the little rock in the middle of the clearing. I had front row seats for that bit lol.

Was that you in the hole in front of the rock?! I had yellow flexs with a black faceplate and a bristol addiction jersey on (said Dave Phillips on the back thanks to stupid printers mixing up the jerseys).

Was an excellent day reffing.

Though it's surprising how many of you guys like to shoot a lane straight into my chest as opposed to the hundreds of players behind me :p

Was very fun and enjoyed every minute of pulling your armbands :)

I was the ref with red and eclipse stickered proflex's with proto pants and a blue eclipse jersey.

I got called out for lunch as the building battle was about half way through (the one with the laser guy ontop) so i missed the end of that, looked pretty good though. Was a good day in the end, shame about the guy breaking his leg though.
Found it funny on the huge flat area near where the guy broke his leg, i think 1 or 2 players where stuck behind a marshal using him as a moving body shield, it cracked me up :D

nah, wish it was that guy was a hero for saying that, i was the sexy ref with the icon jersey and funky red and white proflex's

and when i shoout i sound like a small girl
Ahh i remember you, was marshalling with you and a few others on the edge of the field near the end, i was the one with black grillz + gold lense :)

Blimey, quite a day.

First time at the Big Game for me and what a blinding experience.

Got there Saturday and hit the shops with my mate Stacey who had some stuff to buy. Very friendly and helpful people manning the stalls. I must say though I felt a bit sorry for them having to listen to that CD on loop all weekend, I'd have gone mental.

Registration was a breeze, camping areas were very nice, loads of toilets and clean enough too. (I'm a festival veteran and believe me, those were clean). I also think it's great being able to park next to your tent.

Saturday night was great fun and I have to say the bar was very keenly priced and the Scottish guy running it was very friendly. I didn't see too much of the party as I was outside shooting the breeze.

It all went wrong for me on Sunday morning when my TM7 decided it didn't want to come out and play. Still don't know if it was user error or a fault. Kee were amazingly helpful both Saturday and Sunday helping me with my gear. Even lending me a replacement TM 7 so that I could play. Without them I would have been an observer, thanks Kee. :D

Finally out on the field at 11am and trying to get my head round the size of the place. Awesome.

Playing highlights were the advance up around the top of the site after liberating the cafe back from the North with some nice flanking moves by everyone concerned.

Also the walk through the woods later in the day with Warlock (NST), SwolfmanC (SPS), Shadow5235 (SPS) and some other guys whose names I didn't catch to come around the rear (oo-er) of the 3 guys who were at the end of the wall holding up our advance. They had no idea we were there until 5 of us appeared out of the trees behind them shooting. They ran. lol. We then came up behind a bigger group who were trying to retake the building as the Warren Wood Rangers and assorted others came piling in from the left. Took them by surprise as well. :D
Finally, when the north did the massive push up to the cafe late in the day, staying forward when everyone else withdrew to behind the cafe. Turning round and seeing 50+ north players within range. They hadn't seen me so I started shooting, i knew what would happen next and it did. POW, BLAM, KAPOW, OUCH.

Watching that push after being eliminated and out of paint was quite impressive. Well done you Northern nutters.

Anyway, super long post over. Looking forward to next year.
