One thought just crossed my mind - it is obvious the Millennium haven't got the necessary skills or commitment to put things right....this much is self evident.
I also know that the Millennium guys don't make that much money from these events and so i would be asking myself if I were them, especially in the light of a wider industry perspective, why the f##k should I bother?

I think I'd seriously be thinking about 08 and wondering if it's really worth all the hassle ...think about it, why bother????
I frikkin wouldn't I know that !!!!!!

And if it ever did go down that road, what effect would it have?, and trust me on this next point, it wouldn't have as much as some people would like to make out.
Overall industry development does not depend that much on a European League even though some might beg to differ.

If you correctly analyse all relevant factors and dynamics - you can only come up with one conclusion.........how ironic

Well that would be better than to treat paintball as a job.And most players have to take vaccation time to play so why not combine the 2?

But the point is that the premier european legue should present paintball to sponsors, media and new players. In a way that local events cant. Thats the millennium series role in my view and thats why players pay much more in fees, flights, hotels etc to attend.
And frankly the changes needed would just help the series and make them more money than this short sighted policy.

Magued
Magued,

Let me clarify what I meant. First of all, I'm in agreement with you here, but what I meant by the vacation remark is this:

Some people say that an event was great, because they stayed in a nice hotel, went to a swimming pool, visited a nice restaurant and all kind of other things that have nothing to do with the event, sometimes they don't even mention anything that has to do with paintball. If that's what makes a trip fun for you, just book yourself a nice all inclusive vacation and save yourself the hassle of playing paintball. :D

However, if an event is held at a site with a swimming pool, I ain't complaining...

Hope that clears things up.

Robbo my old friend, Long time no speak , Hope all is well. Have you ever thought of starting up a tournament of your own that runs around Europe ? , I hear you have had major contributions to similar events in the past. Surly you have the powers to go round europe check out good venues 6 months before hand and then predict what the weather is going to be like the week running up to the event and on the day?

They say your the Super Fantastic, Bones made of more then just Plastics Robbo;) I know you could cough something up.

I was actually being serious , With a bit of a joke on the side.

As much as me and Robbo have had our (Chats) on here in the past, I have to admit if there was one person who probs could pull a tournament of such nature together is him... He has spent years as a PGI Reporter & Critic, Im sure he could just take all his good reviews that he has made over the years and make a good tournament out of them..?

:rolleyes:Its the same with every sport and event , You never here good things about the tournament to start with, because most people that actually enjoyed the event dont even go onto the forums, I understand that there may be certain areas that need improvment, But at the end of the day, Its the people that moan about it 5 times a year that come back to play 5 times a year.

They must be enjoying it somewhere along the lines or they wouldnt bother turning up, At the end of the day , The Series is growing and growing each year so they must be getting something right:rolleyes:
