Think you all have right points on you posts, just depends on the point of view.

I think one of the biggest probs was the missing "flair" of this event like nuerburgring (Maxs Masters) or Toulouse etc.

For those who play most of the events (CPL, SPL and nearly 50% of the D1 + 2) I think it was "not perfect" but okay. Of course perfect weather conditions are fine, but not in the MS hands.

But the mainly disappointed guys where the m5 players I think. Those people normally play just one leg of the MS events (because of money, whatever) and I think most of them did not get "a feeling" how a big MS event could have been. As an entry league it seems to me that the m5 players will not have the best opinion of the Millennium Series right after this tournament.

It´ll be hard work for the MS to get most of the locals back to the event in Belgium 2008 (maybe?), but I think they know that and will improve.

Don´t know, and this is a money-thing I think, what the sponsors think about this leg of the series???

But hey, there was a crazy helicopter-pilot ;)

I just wanna thank the refs (CPL+SPL) who reffed us, they worked their a** off and did pretty well! Thank you gentlemen.

Cheers,
Lex

I have played at better training sites like D7 and Ashfords SE Village then the MS site in belgium.

Trade was lower, standards were lower and the fact that Planet and KEE did not even make the trip sums it up.

Most players just made the best of a bad situation and got on with it but by far the worst site (Come back Pedro all is forgiven:D.) The cpl and spl fields played better than i thought at 1st glance but still not what you expect to see at an MS.

The MS put on quad biking, helicopter trips, bungee runs and even a crawl tube but to me it was like attending a fun fair with paintball at the back of it. Not the best but we got on with it.

Here here, plus the place we stayed had a swimming pool with a flume - I have more bruises from throwing myself down that thing with my team than shots on me! We had a villa where we could all eat, chat and play poka ;):p
Even though it felt like a glorified UK Masters event (those events are still fun - mind you) instead of a Millennium event, I had a great time. We played good and even great teams, supported our fellow countrymen and drank lots of cherry beer.
Again again :)

If all that stuff makes an event good for you, stop wasting money on paintball and just go on vacations...

Splashing out all that money should give you more than a "glorified UK Masters" feeling. All the positive points you mention have sweet FA to do with paintball.

It's sure going to be an interesting event report to write ;)
You gotta put 'Belsham' in there somewhere, Sue came up with that one on wednesday I think.
(though the guys who train at Elsham would not be best pleased? :))

Belgium: the land of sweetcorn and cows (from what I saw of it, anyway).

I heard a rumour that they decided before the event that they were gonna run it in that site again for the next few years- can anyone confirm this?

Were you playing Beaks? I heard someone shouting that name but I looked around for ya, then remembered I don't have a clue who you are or what you look like .
