Well:

On Topic - No the R/L don't cheat, I have seen them many times at Millenniums and never seen them push the rules.

Xball however, they obviously got fed up of being done by the US and I they did play that grey area a touch. However, it was only "noticeable" as it was them - watching most other teams play it was just par for the course.

Off Topic - Yep I will be going to Australia for a couple of months - might try and get a game there too, then onto NZ. I will certainly probably be there around September and I HAVE to play Rotorua in Oct, just depends who'll have me and whether I can get all my kit in - you guys haven't seen the light of the Timmy yet, chuffing machinegun :D

After that it's onto the US so I'll have to tap Micah up for a game at SC Village, then over to see the BC boys in Washington after boarding Mt Baker and hopefully Alaska.

Should be a good year or 2

That article

and another one in Facefull both went too far IMHO...some people have an agenda against tha Russkies and if anyone had written those things about my team I'd be mondo pissed.

Sergei knows about both, but as to what - if anything - he's gonna do about 'em, I don't know. Tha P8nt article was particularly surprising as Matty Marshall is usually an interesting and perceptive writer...

You're going to have a lot of trouble getting that Timmy in via Australia, they technically don't allow any semis into the country - even for passing visitors! A mate of mine who runs a site down there has to smuggle them in in bits, disguised as tractor parts or some such guff. :)

I'm all too aware - no pb kit going to Oz, will have to beg and borrow if I play there. In WA - which is where family is - it's illegal altogether

ON TOPIC - Matty's bits in P8nt are great, really like them but that article by Micah was a little too far. Matt's a top bloke to speak to too.

What gets me is

The three real bits of controversy at Amsterdam were...

1 - Avalanche lost very very very easily to SC Ironmen in the finals
2 - The scoresheet went missing
3 - Dynasty were awful refs

Didn't see any mention of these three very real incidents - possibly cos all 3 involved the author's team/friends?

Now that's fine, it ain't down to P8nt to solve the problems of the world, and possibly points 1 and 2 were totally innocent, I don't know...BUT if you ain't going to mention those controversial incidents, why bring up the Russian one, which only appears to exist in tha minds of a few individuals?

And as a final reality check - IF the Russians were cheating in the ways described, do you not think they might have managed to actually WIN a tournament by now???

I was stood right behind Jeremy in the corner standup for a lot of that game watching the lanes he was shooting and I believe they could have done a LOT better.
