I rarely say things like this with utterly heart-felt conviction, but THIS is the greatest event I've played in Britain. Ever.

Seriously, WHAT an event! Mark and Rich are now the heroes of British Paintball.....Not just in my eyes, not just in the eyes of the teams lucky enough to play, not just in the eyes of the countless hundreds of public spectators captivated by this phenomenon; But in everyone who dreamed that someone would one day make a move to do something, not for themselves, but for the sport!

Thanks to the organisers there's a premise of a better future.

(Also wanna thank SoManc for an epic battle! You didn't want to go all Dillon Thomas and go gently into the good night) <---- See what I did there, Robbo ;)

Wasn't able to make it up today. but hearing tons of great things and can see some fantastic activity in the photos/videos that have been provided.

Congrats to Rich, Mark, Nick et al for doing a bonza sterling job and you are true leaders of the sport into public eyes.

ditto what Roboo said, the sport can only go onwards and upwards with these events.

will have to get to the next one come hell or high water.

Just want to say thanks to everyone for a fantastic weekend for myself and the rest of the MBA that came over to watch a fantastic event and to the organisers for making such a brilliant event.

The teams played hard, fair and made a specticle for the public that im sure they will be talking about for a long time to come.

I took some pics on the weekend as well from the sidelines and will be posting the gallery up when sorted :)

Ok, I know Rich has help too so big up to you guys to but all in all the BOP event was, well, bloody awesome!!

Funny thing with this event is timing. All I've heard about UK paintball of late is that its in a very violent nosedive...well there was absolutely zero evidence of that this weekend, in fact, from what I saw was pretty much the start of a new era. This event has been put on at a loss. Fact. Most organizers from 'the good old days' would have left it on the drawing board if their pockets weren't heavily lined, whereas the BOP guys have decided that the plan needs to be slightly longer term than 'next weekend'. The organization was amazing, the attitude of everyone was amazing, the standard of play kinda surprised me to be honest (although I haven't played competitively for 4 years) and was very good indeed with loads of potential. When we were last in it, the UK up and coming teams were crap with a handful of hopefuls which meant the actual teams didn't go anywhere and fizzled out but this weekend there actual 'teams' there doing some good things, kicking ass and being aggressive so hats off to all those guys who've made it happen.

I do have a HUGE problem though, this event has given me the bug again so I think there may be more GFH appearances at a field near you...soon I hope.

Thanks again to all who chatted, play awesome and kicked our asses, it"ll be sweet to see if this level of passion for the sport can carry on.

Actually, I've also gotta add a HUGE thanks to the rest of the Legacy boys for letting us do our thing really. Considering the whole team hadn't real done much of late or are still soaking up the knowledge we really managed to dish out some poison and if we'd have been a proper team, as in a team that had played together more and knew our game plan as a team, we'd have definitely been rocking the semis up.

I had an awesome time, as did my partner in crime Mr. Latham esq.
