Nick,

Fair play, I am sure when we checked the board they had all 98/99/100's expect our '97. Up until that Joy game. Never mind though.

Well, I checked the scores on Warpig and they got 494 on Friday which means if you took 5 they got 95,99,100,100,100 (in whatever order) then the Sat scores show our 97. Which means yeah - they were kinda good :D

Who are you playing for this year then after the AA's?

:)

We played them on the JT field, I made the middle JT cross on the break and then I have NO idea what happened, just a whole world of paint arrived around me from all directions, I really don't think they liked me being there!

So while we did well, I can take absolutely no credit for it :)

ok ... this confuses me even more ...

Nick, you're a "Pro" right? But you played on a Novice team? (that's how you played Bob's 'men right? Or was your team one of the lowest ranked Am's? Or was your team just sandbagging? I thought I understood but now ... I'm not so sure ...

Micah,

Icemen were Am, but at Toulouse the seeding system was NOT the one described above so everyone played everyone in divisions etc.

This system was first used at a Millennium at Joy Masters (i.e. after Toulouse.)

So Uh ... Can I too be a turbo smurf when I grow up? I've always wanted to be a turbo smurf ... to bad I'm on the wrong side of the country.

Congratz on the second place ... so if you hadn't been up against bob's 'msn you think you would have won?

They weren't second overall, they were second in the Amateurs.

That makes them over all position = number of pro's + 2 places.

If you have any chance of coming second in a tourny you have to be playing in the pro division :)

For some reason I find it amusing when Am or Novice players claim to have won a Millenium event. They didn't. They won their ranking division but only the Pro winner can truely have claimed to have won the event.

Devils advocate here,

But surely if the Pro's only play Pro's then they have only won their rank (albeit universally recognised as the hardest) ?

I'm not saying that if you had an everyone plays everyone torunament the Pro's wouldn't fill the top spot but surely having Any sort of classification means no-one can truely have "won" the event outright?

So you have 1st place Pro, Am, Novice not Millennium winner, 1st place Am, 1st place Novice

Just a thought mind :)

Nick my post wasn't in reply to yours. Micah's post just implied that he thought you had only come in second to Bobbies Men. Where as your game against them in the prelims wouldn't have mattered to where you came, as long as you made it into the finals which you did.

The bit about Amateurs which you agreed with, is just something I have thought for a while and was kinda relevant to add in. Wasn't meant to be in reference necessarily to the posts about the Icemen.

Nick, So who are you playing with now? Got a regular slot set up yet?
