So the point of this thread was that you want more Contreversial Threads? I'll post one now...

No, it's not too big.

And controversy is good but what I'm hoping to encourage is plain old participation. It's a small dream but it's my dream.

Gee--nothing wrong with being nice. And I'm sorta presuming that those who cared enough to register and hang around the forums on a semi-regular basis are a fairly likely group to draw posters from--but then I could be wrong. ;)
PS--are you implying my name isn't Baca or that Richard's name isn't Richard?

I agree increase the contributions. "When I we're lad Speak your Brains used to be a busier than a Yorkshire knocking shop on Giro day", now we have hours without contribution. Once I was so desperate not to do any work I went on PBNation!!!!!!!! Came back here though cos no-one wrote English!!!

Post em all, let the mod's sort em out!!!!!

I personally think you are going the wrong way with this. What we need to do is work hard to make paintball a gentleman's sport. Rules like 'don't shoot while the person directly to your left is shooting' and 'always congratulate the person who hit you on a nice shot.' Think of it--no more running, sliding, or diving. Only white collar shirts and khaki pants. Maybe a beret.

I think you might be on to something here.

Or as they used to say

Cricket is a gentlemans sport played by gentlemen

Rugby is a gentlemans sport played by hooligans

Football is a hooligans sport played by hooligans

So we can now add

Paintball is a morons sport played by er.....I'll get my coat

We now return you to your regular broadcast:D

Oh and I do believe some of the comments made earlier in this thread have some merit, abuse, threats and threadjackings.

You could also theorise that paintball fraternity in-crowds make the place seem cliquey and unwelcoming, not that I believe that is the case, but it can seem intimidating to some readers.

 If you don't know us or play with us you ain't in

it's not true folks, honest!

That's a good point. If you look at threads in the Major Tournament and SYB sections, you see the same names over and over, many of whom trade 'in' jokes (like calling another poster "whale" :p) or you see in PGI.

Remember when you first started playing paintball? All those guys who had their own gear and knew each other could be intimidating until you'd been playing for a while (obviously I'm not talking about anyone who posts on here :D :D :D ) So maybe here is like paintball...

PS - Tommy - stop reading and start posting. I know you're on here! ;)

You're all still making excuses. Cut it out.

And, as for you, whale, how big a stretch is shamu to whale? :p And about that PGI thing, you tell me which came first, Mr. Hot Threads?
And since you started hangin' around you've had no problems posting so whyn't you tell everyone your secret, hmmm? :)

PS--can one of Joe Bob's disciples translate for me? He's speaking in tongues again.

yea, i think you see a lot more people, with say...... 1 star;) posting in speak your brains section, because it's not all paintball only so people with a limited knowledge of paintball in general are more willing to "speak their brains" on a topic they know about

just a thought
