hardcore??

Whats hardcore about not wearing sensible padding??

Skaters wear it cos it hurts if they dont.

Rugby players wear it cos it helps prevent some of the minor scrapes, bruises etc and therefore aid rapid healing from repeated contact.

Paintballers get repeated contact with the ground (forget paintballs cos thats not what the padding/protection is for - aside from boxes for guys and breast protection for the ladies). The repeated knocks as you hit the ground with knees and elbows and the friction because you are moving can be eleviated with pads.

Sore shins/knees/elbows can be avoided - so avoid them. It makes you no less 'hardcore' - just less 'stoopid'.

Jamie Brandon weighs about 2 and a half stones so maybe thats why he doesnt contact with the ground with too much force??

His team captain punches a little more weight. Go ask him, Jamie, if its less hardcore?? He'll hit you with his DYE pads i'm sure (he may even take pity and not put them on first!!)

Just did a conversion chart, according to it I weigh 17.5 stone. So, refrence there.

On repeated stress injury, it's doccumented. If you stress your joints yuo're apt to get arthritis. Many skaters are starting to suffer from it, and skiiers / boarders are too. Extreme sports are fun, buy you pay for it later.

Now these are athletes. Paintball players really aren't athletes, so we're not set up to take that kind abuse. It's got me 'concerend.'

Hmmm. Think a lot of you are forgetting a pretty major point.

Don't forget, more padding = more bouncers!

That’s what it's all for man. Why do you think most yanks wear their elbow pads down over their wrists and forearms. It sure ain't to stop chafing!

If I can get a bounce instead of a break I'll strap a couple of pillows to my arms and legs!

In actual fact...

Rugby players do sometimes wear pads, not all, but most. Shoulder pads and things that look like slide pants, to prevent grass burn. You may also notice a couple wearing gloves. Oh well that was my two cents worth.

We are talking about Paintball the sport ie supair on grass

Not

Paintball the past time ie camo and woods

I agree that paintball in the woods is insane without pads. The argument here is, is it necessary on grass.

No one would argue that knee sliding on stones and roots is definately hardcore.
