at germany this weekend our team had a player that caused various troubles and during one game was shot twice on his arm (we have photgraphic evidence) and he played on, his marker then messed up and when fixing it he shot himself in the had then moved the shot hand back on the grip frame to wipe. the marshall pulled him out and he argued and the marshall 1-4-1 one of our players (which caused us to lose the game - from a spectator) - up to this point we have never been penalised or had a case of a cheat.

as well as this he was seen carrying around a box of paint that was not from our sponsor and was generally not a team player.

question:

is there any hope for him or do i cut his ass before he causes the team and the uni more embarrasment?

Have the team talk to him as a whole and explain to him what you expect from him...Im a firm believer in second chances and maybe he just needs to understand whats acceptable and whats not..

If he doesnt want to listen of denies what hes done, the give em the boot...But I think with some tough love things can be straightened out...

That's a tough decision,

Personally I'd go for the soft slap method, give said person a severe bollocking and let them know EXACTLY what the problem was. Put them on probation and if they don't play the game the way you and you sponsors want, cut them as fast as you can.

Unless it was so bad you were SO embarrassed that you feel the need to cut them now as all privileges have been revoked already.

Your team has got to be worth more than one player, especially where sponsors are concerned.

My other half says in reply to Jose, "£25 and she'll keep his marker" :D :D

Do you want a player on your team who's a proven cheater?
Your team are known for sportsmanship and helping out etc.... (I was a 6E marshall at storming the castle). It takes a certain type of person to cheat... he'll still have it in him no matter how much you talk to him....... as the team improves, he'll be more likely to cheat as the stakes get higher. Problem is, by then you'll have more to lose.
Don't lose your rep for one cheat....... it's not like he only did it once or he just wasn't thinking.

i need better offers than £25...

the capt says he'll do it for £20

thanks for the advice, we tried to speak to him but he denied it and still made a nuscience of him self. we even missed a turning when driving home so have to take a 20mile detour cause of his constant annoyance as the driver could not hear the navigator

we had a guy on our team, (before storm) that cheated, wouldnt take critiscism and generally wound the other team members up.

now he has no team and isnt playing at all. :(

although I do say let him know cheating isnt tolerated on your team, that is one of the reasons you guys are sponsored because of your honest and sportsmanlike rep. hopefully he will be embaressed and glad of the second chance, if he disputes it at all get rid of him, his attitude will only surface again, deep down you should know if he is right for your team.
