Inventing any consumer good / consumable would be pointless in the C11th, as you'd have no way to distribute it or build a customer base.

If anything, I'd bring the knoweldge of ship building skills and build a nice boat to sale to China, get gun powder then build cannons. Ergo inventing Pirates, much sooner than before. I might also nip over to South America, nick some Incan gold and bring back the yao. Thus also inventing the Cocaine Baron

Since Pirates spawned Ninja's and Ninja's spawned Space Men, rest assured we would have reached Mars by Spring 1785 and by the C20th would be intergalactic drug dealers.
