On the first post yes you would be correct that is why on my post I quoted the person asking the question who wasn't the person who started the thread ..sssh it was a threadjackOriginally posted by WingNut
He has an LCD, says so in his first post.
Aren't the settings you have posted for a Speed or an A4.....??
Any will do it but they must be of the Low Pressure variety...the only exception to this is the Max-Flow for which you need the High Pressure version. Costs are what you can find as I am assuming that you are not in the UK and presets are not that common here as yet, they are about but not in the huge numbers you see in the US.Originally posted by p8ntballer2007
what do i do to get my fps and psi down? a regulator? if so, what kinds will do the job and how much coin is this gonna cost me? thanks
with your PMI reg, you could go the route of having PMI turn your pre-set into an LP output reg instead of HP. In the US the kit to make the change costs about $25 and most decent shops are able to do it for you. It's a lot cheaper than buying an entirely new HPA tank.Originally posted by p8ntballer2007

The Crossfire LP preset screw in tanks are great performers and relatively cheap. Also, the Nitro Duck X-stream is a screw-in adjustable tank that costs about the same as a pre-set. At about $220, it's a nice alternative to spending $400 on a MaxFlo or MacDev or as much as $500 on an Angel Air system.Originally posted by Mark
I would not want to use any Preset on any Marker for those inaccurracy problems and too many people complain about unscrewing the reg from the bottle aswell, you could use threadlock to stop this but then you are looking at trouble come hydro test time. Presets are an american influence that I feel we should resist.
That's true. You said:Originally posted by Mark
I never said there wasn't a way of being "careful" or "sensible" with screw in presets...
I just don't see a problem with using a decent quality pre-set screw in tank and an on/off. Nevertheless, I suppose there can be safety issues with anyone who uses CO2 or CA improperly.Originally posted by Mark

I saw that too, if we're thinking about the same incident. Poor woman was hit by a flying CO2 bottle that came unscrewed from its valve. From the looks of it, the fool who installed the anti-siphon tube didn't use locktite.Originally posted by Mark
but since when do those two statements go inline with a description of the average paintballer..... A woman died because of no sense being used with an on/off tap and an imporperly torgued valve.
Sorry, they're $350 at many places here. My mistake.Originally posted by Mark
And if you are buying Max-Flows at $400 dollars then you need to shop around a little more.
