Playing war
As a kid, my mates and i played war. The kid with the best plastic gun, was always in demand. We would pick sides and then hide and shoot each other. Sound like "airsoft" and "paintball" ? .
The war side of things is forgoten by many "tournament" players, but what are you doing??? Trying to shoot someone before they shoot you. You can argue that "getting the flag" makes this different,But you have to shoot people before you can get it!!
I think that using airguns of whatever description, is fun for different people.
Playing in the woods, with a airsoft or paintball gun is FUN.
Playing in a stadium, with crowds, and paintballs is BETTER FUN.
Whatever turns you on..................
One last point, getting shot with a paintball, HURTS. So you are going to play better, and tighter.
The two things are different, and with common sense, can be enjoyed and played safely

personally, I dont think airsoft should have a place in PGI. Any sport that doesn't get pissed off at its own people for making a website called www.paintballisgay.com does not deserve a spot in a paintball magazine.
