Gassy, can you change my vote please, clicked the wrong one.

I think it is needed, but there needs to be more centers where the course can be taken all year round.

I have changed your vote but I cannot move your name, sorry.

Great idea if it can be implemented I would attend one at every event I went to.

Do we think much of the idea of filling tanks inside small blast boxes?

Turn up at the station, connect up, put bottle safely in blast box, fill, wait, fill, wait, remove bottle?

Even if the blast box is big enough for a whole marker and bottle to fit in?

Sorry if I've thread jacked but any safety ideas must be good and lets face it we've all seen people crouched over bottles or bottles pointed up in the air.

Just an idea

In my personal opinion, and i know many/most will not agree, but i think this is just a knee jerk reaction to an isolated incident, everyone has been filling without problems for years, and suddenly something happens and everyone goes mental, as long as people know the simple safety rules for filling i feel attending a course is not necessary. Just have someone at filling stations making sure its all done safely.

under ukpsf air training im sure there was a card/document you got that lasted for a year.

however, i am under 18 and so was unable to receive this and was technically not allowed to fill the bottle from the fill station at the site i received the training at.

i however did attend the course - i do think it should be encouraged, possibly even compulsory.

agreed

edit: after reading the options properly :)rolleyes:) i need to revise my answer slightly. I still dont think everyone who wants to use HPA should do the course, but i do beleive people will benefit from it.

You make it sound like you will have to take a day off work and go into a classroom somewhere for this training.

It's a 20-30 mins sit down at the start of an event to make you aware of the safety issues with HPA.
