Aggressive playing and aggressive behavior.

Did someone say Russians? Did they say Joy? How aggressive (in behavior) is Dynasty, really? The lang is very passionate, but not aggressive. I think we need passion to 'move on', not aggression.

my take is that aggressive playing style (always moving up, doing stuff fast and taking opportunities for muggins and run-throughs) doesn't have to be linked with aggressive behaivour (although you do need adrenaline which is linked (im not sure how much)), and in fact aggressive behaivour results in the opposite of improvement, it leads to grudges, fragmentation, negativity. Passion is what drives people to do great things.

But seriously, it's just another tactic, so i say use aggression how you will, but don't be surprised if you have to suffer a side effect

Gotta agree on both those points

Its really fairly simple. Our game/sport is a bunch of people shooting at each other with high pressure air guns......the game does not create aggression in people. Thats adrenaline. Teams that win, do so because their tactics and style of play is an "aggressive" style of play. That is they attack from the start and continue to push the advantage.

An aggressive person playing our sport is a dangerous thing. Someone who plays with the intent to threaten or injure is an aggressive player and they, thankfully, are few and far between.

You wanna get angry because you got shot, thought the refs call was bad, think the other team are cheating is not aggression UNTIL you lose control and it boils over into an intent to threaten or cause injury. Throwing your gun on the floor is cool......way to treat your £1000 pride and joy!!!

So, watching the tops teams play hard in any sport is good, Having tactics that beat the crap out of the opposition every time, thats cool. Loosing your rag because you suck, they suck or the refs suck....fine but understand that its a game, get over it......you win, you lose and people cheat, so be it. It's not a perfect world but leave your Aggression, your urge to hurt people at home. We don't need it.

If you think our sport hurts, try shinty!!! Thats just organised violence.....
