I think there is a rule some where that says that if a pot is near you not sure on the distance then it can be classed as a hit but i don't think that any one enforces that rule.

There is also a rule that says if you haven't been checked at the end of a game and you pick your pots up and it has a hit on it then you are out.

Is this to do with a Marshall at the masters that pulled some one for a pot being next to him and it being shot and when the Marshall was asked why he pulled the player he reply was "well if the pot wasn't in the way he would have been shot in the knee"

This is no joke this actually happened

There is a rule somewhere about distance from discarded equipment but I don't think it applies to pods.
In Paris last year, can't remember which field, in the 'snake complex' there was a gap where two bunkers met and which could easily be shot through, our player took 2 empty pods into the game with him and stuck them in the gap. They got shot to **** but he didn't get pulled and believe me, if the pods had not been there he would have been out.
I think that was a crap call if it actually happened.

As i understand it if the pot is shot and then the player then goes and picks it back up again during the game to continue filling his loader then i would say that he is eliminated if its shot and left alone til the end of the game then he shouldnt be called out. Or other wise judges would end up pulling players if there was one ball left in a pot and was near that player.
