The rule as is at the moment is so stupid it makes us daft.
We are asked to police a rule that everyone knows we can not.
With the cheats that are out there, if you want to get past it you can. (see link the Advantage link at the top of the page!).
All that happens is we catch people at the chrono or even on field with bouncy triggers and they suffer, they are not out and out cheats they will get past that.

This way we can police it, players do not have to get worried when they go to the chrono station, and I can drink more tea!
We see this as an improvement to the rulebook and capping the rate of fire only increases safety.

If you set your marker up so it will fire fully auto because of silly trigger bounce - you will still get a severe penalty, whatever the rate of fire.

but if i go nuts on red bull and manage to pull the trigger more than 15 times a second(i know i cant im just saying ) with out any cheat ,bounce or software aids the cap does not apply ???

then what happens 2 the players that use the aids when they go 2 europe were they cant use them, they will be rusty, out of practice really shooting fast, dont think this is good for brittish paintball

I really hope this doesnt go ahead.

What about the people who have developed the skill to fire at 15bps and above (i can do 13 roughly) is it fair that people can sling a chip in thier marker and knock out 15bps consistantly when they are only kicking out 6bps with a non ramping marker without skill?

and again what about people who can fire above more than 15bps legit with no aids?

EDIT: I know everyone has asked this btw.

a marker that can fire full auto , pull and hold the trigger and it keeps firing , is considered a fire arm from what i can gather

FA 'used' to be any burst mode, so that meant any more than one shot per pull was FA.

but we've really greyed the lines with how our guns work, so there may be some leeway with the Home Office. It's great to see that these guys are working with the Home Office to come up with a solution. Awesomness.

I talk with people all over the world reguarding the rules and if this goes ahead I suspect it will become a worldwide agreed standard within a season.
Someone has to be first, someone has to find solutions to problems we have in paintball.
It's all very well to say if your gun does this you will have a penalty, but if we can not police what your gun is doing why have the rule, it's just daft.
I have done the job I do as tournament ultimate for a good few years and I see players worried about even going to the chrono station because they think somebody could be on a power trip and pull them before they even get on the field.
If you saw the problems at campaign last year you would not want that to happen again.
With this it wont.
