a marker that doesnt use gas?

going slightly off subject but.....

I know of several, 'well known' teams shall we say that partly fill their bottles with co2 and then fill the rest of the bottle with air. Now im no rocket scientist but this cant be safe (combining a very high pressure gas with another one which expands). Can anybody shed some light on this.........


and im not gonna say which teams do it cos id have to kill you......so dont ask

again, that has been taken into consideration on the design for the semi (which i doubt i have the skill in electronics to make) which has numerous capacitors. (my latest drawing has 8) although i wont know how many would be required till i make the prototype (perhaps capacitators wont be necesary) which isnt deigned for multiple fire, just really to see if i can get my mechanism to fire at 300 fps

yes, but i always found mr boyle really quite boring...but he shouldnt turn in his grave just yet, cos in the future there will be plenty of airships (i have a bit of an airship fettish) full of gasses :p

This practice is done for one reason only, it drastically increases the number of shots your bottle can hold because liquid co2 per cu cm can produce considerably more shots than an equal volume or air.
Now the bottles are designed to contain pressures of well past the 4500 mark (in fact well past the 9000 mark that are used as 4500) and the pressure of co2 when it leaves the liquid state and turns into gas is about 700 I think, therefore as far as the pressure problem goes, holding co2 in a 4500 bottle is ok but the problem arises because of the corrosive nature of co2 on the seals.
So it is extremely inadvisable to do this sorta **** to say the least.
Also, the gun can be fed liquid co2 which would drastically increase the fps to a point where it could blow a ball straight thru a lens, this is no exaggeration !!!!!!!
U get liquid CO2 stuffed straight into some of these guns and u r asking for trouble !!!
Hmm, there really are some idiots out there and to think, we could be playing on the same field as some of these jerks :confused:

Indeed you have played against them and no doubt will again, come a millenium event, next time those balls are whizzing past when yours are dropping short (no doubt youve guessed which team(s) im talking about anyway). This does raise the issue of cheating though because as millenium and nppl rules get tougher on the gun cheats, how can we stop the gas cheats?

Im not gonna mention which teams do this cos their all pro and people will go throwing their toys outa the pram.
I thought it was important to raise the issue though, as this dosnt only effect pro games, not all tounaments have pro v pro only divisions and these teams could be shooting their markers at just about anybody who plays big events.
