I went to Manchester, but all cities are expensive.
Student loan helps, as does part time jobs - get in touch with the students union ASAP and ask for a bar job. If your lucky youll get the gig, and get to see some good bands if your union has a venue, and if nothing else chat to some fine ass fresher girls

failing that, local supermarkets take on lots of students.

My parents give me NO money. lol. I think i'll just have to work alot. And prostitute myself when times are tough.

Make sure you fully research government/university grants and funding. You may be surprised what you're entitled too. I'm getting over £3k in grants. Thats on top of student loan etc.

True. I got nearly 2k off the Welsh assembly that I didn't have to pay back.

Well, i get quite alot too I think, signed up for everything lol. But. I have to re-apply because my first assessment was for Bath, now im going london = more loans please

Thanks man. Remarking isn't so bad, but I saw retakes can cost up to £85 per module

remarking is good - in the december modules my friend had his remarked and it turned out they missed out half the paper - i think they gave him the remark for free

£43.15 +£10 script ---> Whatever that means.

One of my friends is 3 marks off an A in maths; so her parents are paying 6 x £45 quid for a remark of every module
