What pi$$es me of intensly is the peaceniks and nayyyy sayers who constantly claim the moral highground. These vociferous idiots always claim to have the support of the masses, do they?, have they taken a referendum?, i doubt it.

Good point, but has anyone?

Well, great, but what really PI$$ES me off is the multitude of war-supporters who are all for it and support the troops by hurling insults on the internet.

If you support the war so much... how the hell do you have time to post here? surely your busy digging trenches or refitting your challenger to run on sand?

I don't support the war, if I did I'd be sellotaping my Sa80 back together right now.

Also, on the topic of "human shields" I've got friends in the forces, and I can guarantee that the sight of a tax-dodging student strapped to the front of a T60 is not likely to put our troops off shooting at it.

Haha! That put a funny mental picture in my head...:D

However, there is no such thing as a T60....T62, T64, but no T60 (okay, there was one, but that was back in WW2, I doubt even Saddam would use those)...(sorry, I'm in a nitpicky mood).

Its funny how we have more support from the people of Iraq than we have support from the U.S. And it is also funny how everyone talked crap to Bush for saying that Sadaam had illegal weapons, but we now find out that he is launching scud missles which he said he never had. Weird.

Poll Response

This just taken off of www.gallup.com.

Bush's current approval rating 58%

Do you approve of the US decision to go to war?

76% Approve
20% Disapprove
4% Had no opinion

Should the war have begun when it did?

70% for
27% against
3% clueless

How anyone can say that the citizens of the USA do not approve of what President Bush is doing must not have done any research on the subject.

As far as there being only one congressman with a child in the military i have this to say....The US Armed Forces are an ALL VOLUNTEER force...if someone doesn't want to join of their own free will then we don't want them in the service. It is our job to protect the citizens of our great nation...and we do it with PRIDE, DEDICATION and HONOR. I am sure it is the same with Britan's Armed forces as well.

It is really past the time of debate and criticism of our countries leaders. We as a whole voted them in and they are doing what they think is right. (and don't bring up the whole bush election thing. He was lawfully elected so that should be the end of it.)

In the times we live in I think it is great that we can debate all of this on the internet, and criticise our and others governments, but for some reason i don't see alot of Iraqi's on the boards. How do any of us know what they want? Have any of us asked?
There are approx. 4 million former Iraqi citizens currently living in the United States. I don't recall any of them being at the Peace demonstrations. If they were i am sure they would have been forced in front of a News Camera, don't you? What was on the news was that some wanted Saddam removed. I think that says it all.

I'll be back on the boards when the war is over. I'm rambling now. Later.

He used them last time, ancient pre-Korean war crap. I'd assume he still has them laying around. That sort of thing didn't get too much publicity, it's not so impressive when your tanks are blowing apart museum pieces rather than state-of-the-art Soviet armour.

Was watching the news about the tanks, it said that the US will be able to hit Saddam's tanks from the horizon (sp?) so the tankers won't even know there being shot at and by the tme they do there dead, not that fair really :(

Not that i support saddam but he didnt claim that he doesnt have any 'scuds' (sorry about the double negative), he was just meant to be getting rid of them which the american patriots seem to be doing a good job of anyway, maybe he just didnt have time!

hmmmmm, funny, no-one has answered my question, so again (open to anyone) if you support the war so much, why are you reading p8 and not driving you tank North towards Iraq with the people who REALLY support the war effort? Anyone? The pro-war argument has a lot more bite when it comes from someone who's chucking grenades, not internet arguments.

Um... I think you'll find that they aren't scuds (well jay's being pickey, so why shouldn't I?) I'm pretty sure that they are Al Simud (sp?) missiles, which were classed as illegal because when you removed thier guidance packages they could just exceded the range limit the UN had put on Iraqi missiles. Saddam was int he process of destroying them when George W decided to go to war anyway.

I'm afraid that "Scud" is now a term being banded about for any rocket that Iraqi troops fire...

Whether or not The white house has the support of the US people (for which an internet pole is hardly a good representation...) it is IMHO bypassing international law, which is pretty important. The US and UK and their current allies (Spain Auz... not sure who else) have directly defied the will of the UN security council... which is what Saddam is currently being shot at for IIRC

Anti-war (in case you couldn't guess) but not strapped to any tanks I have paintball to play! Tomorrow :D
