i wouldnt call and uzi a "toy" something that small that can sustain that rate of fire must be very well designed.
apart from that im sure all the mothers and fathers of all the kids killed in birmingham by these dont refer to them as toys. the reason its 90 on most real guns is because the magazine comes up through the grip, however 90 frames do serve a more ergonomic purpose in paintball.

if you hold your arm out with your index finger pointing forwards and look at your hand the shape suits a 45 so its suitable for handguns, however a paintball marker has a big bottle that you have to get your arm around..... if you angle your hand at the sort of angle you need to get your arm around the ASA i think youl find your hand looks asthough it suits the 90 better. ;)
wdp didnt just do it for fun.

The only time you need to get your wrist around a bottle is when it's up against the frame, as that guy in my pic has it.

With the bottle further back there is nothing to get in the way with a 45 frame, and it keep the gun off your face as with that uber-goober Ryder ;)

Plus, ever seen anyone crawl a snake with a 90...that's funny stuff.

in the pic above the guy is chicken winging quite badly because his arm is coming over the tank as appose to down by the reg, i'll bet his elbow is coming out of the bunker a good two or three inches before anything else.
a 90 frame encourages you to keep your wrist straight preventing chicken winging.
dont get me wrong i have 3 gats all with 45 frames but i understand why some people prefer 90's and i think its the better design erganomicaly, i'd quite happily shoot a 90 myself.

as far as getting your wrist around the bottle, the 90 frame would allow you to put the bottle further back from the frame. As the bottom of the frame is not so far back as the 45, you have more room to play with.
This makes it better for presets, and doesn't put the marker so far away from you.
