I am looking at a date somewhere between April & September 2009 at the earliest.
Before the precise date(s) can be announced, I need to find out what dates other events in this period are being held on, and then take into account the availability of the location.
That means I cannot annouce anything until I know the dates for the Masters, PA, Millennium, NPPL & PSP events for 2009.
I am considering running it as a limited paint event, along the same lines as the WDP events of yesteryear.
For example, the 5-man limited events used to cost £35 per player including paint, whilst the Atlantic Star 6-man cost £47.50 inclusive.
Also, a low entry fee will encourage more people to take part, and a pump division will run if enough interest is shown in such a division.
I would like to take my time over this event and do it properly, in order to give everyone an event to remember - for all the right reasons.

Go on Pick a bank holiday, you know it makes sense. And if it allows can we enter the pump event as well as the normal league?
Am sure Wendy (UKMasters), Russell (PA), Chris (Ionman), would be more than willing to let you know dates, and if they know this is going to be a once or twice a year event they may even be able to help you.

if there's not enough interest for 7 man, why not 5 man, but with a 3 man division?? gives spectators a bit more to watch
If the event is predominately to grab the publics attention we should use uncapped semi and create total on field war zone with a ridiculous amount of paint flying about causing absolute mayhem.
No 3 man teams, 7, 8 ,9 man or above as long as the sides are even.
Pad up and Man up should be the order of the day, and I promise you thats how you would grab the publics attention (well that and the female streakers)
