ive been thinking about this and since it will put tourny ball in the public eye i will set up for free, obviously i will need marshalls, air and a paint trader (my guys like to be paid) etc but if you can do the admin i will build it.

OK, here it is:-
1. Blackpool Council want a paintball event to happen;
2. Trade support has been offered;
3. Fields have been offered FOC;
4. Organisational support has been offered;
5. 7-man format, modified NPPL rules, with no roster or divsion locks;
6. UK Refs as lead refs.
Now, if point 6 above hasn't put you off and you're still reading this thread, the "no lock" rule means you can have whoever you like to play for you.
Also, each division will have a mix of pro, am & novice teams, "old school" style.
And what is a tournament without a players' party?
Well, we're in Blackpool, so.........
How about an oil wrestling contest at a club, featuring:-
"The Hot Boys" - Chris Edwards, Andy Steele & Tommo of Disruption
Versus
"The Dirty South" - Shelley Farmer, Alicia Turner & Ellcie
RULES: Boys must wear underwear only, and behave like gentlemen.
Girls - anything goes.
You wrestle until you are spent.
If the HOT PRO ACTION is too much for you, how about a little amateur flava?
"Sex Machine" - Jeff, Stevo & Eastie from So Manc.
Versus
"All Comers" - that's right, anyone from the audience.
(If you don't know Eastie, let's just say he has a real purty mouth)
TEAMS
It's all up to you - post up if you want to commit to this event.

I am in Blackpool today measuring out locations for fields, before I go to Campaign tonight.

OK, changes to my original idea have to be made.
Firsly:-
Given that there was a nil response to both my and TheRentons' requests for 7-man teams to show an interest in both this event and a 7-man at the PA, we must therefore assume that the 7-man format poses an organisational problem for teams.
So, I suggest that this event be run as a 3-man format, along the same lines as the Nike "Scorpion" advertising campaign.
The 3-man fully enclosed field are also that much smaller, so we can fit more of them in a given area.
Secondly, the location.
What do you think about the event being held in a park?
Finally, how about a pump division?
