so this event has been and gone , so lets hear what you all thought so we can get this event sorted for next month.

keep in mind that it was are first event and only a handful of are marshal's had done some think like this before.

from what i saw on sunday, the feild size was spot on and 6 marshal's to a feild kept the cheating down .

lets hear it?

Cheers m8,we all had a great day..
A lot of learnings for the "newbies",50 pt penalty wiping out their score:eek: also getting caught out by "tricks" of the trade but they enjoyed it and will be back later in the year.
The bitching and crying was unessesary but we can't control the way some people are, marshalls did a sterling job,the day ran very smoothly a credit to the organisers and all the teams were great fun..as it should be,cheers all.:D

Seconded.

The guy from Maidenhead Trauma should be ashamed of himself for his constant moaning and bitching. Not only during our game but in almost all the other games they played before going home in a strop. Marhall kept his cool but he was very close to getting decked by a member of our team for his accusations of a hot gun and uncapped ramping which was proved to be false.

Great day other than that with pleanty of marshalls per field and some real sportsman like conduct for the most part. Means a lot to me when the winning team makes the point of shaking hands with everyone after a game.

Well done to the Old Gits an Venom for well deserved podium spots.

Hopefully we will be down again soon.

Bov'd

The uncapped ramping accusation was not false! and i never claimed it was hot! it was also never proved either way as the gun could not be tested I had evry right to ask for it to be checked it was shooting at me and my friends i dont care if you get your face blown out and probebly most people on this forum couldnt give a crap either.

i was stood later on with the organiser listening to that gun shoot and he agreed it was well over 15 your guy didnt have a clue what he was talking about he had the nerve board set to rebound 2 all that does is effect the kick in it doesnt effect the overall speed that is effected by dwell and recharge

And as for somone decking me he didnt did he you are also all mouth!!!
and would have been fun if he did seing as though we had a met officer on our team

The judges were running an event with ramping at 290 fps and above with no way to catch guns shooting over the limit your player woulnt test the gun properly and the judges didnt have a clue either
Im not stupid and know what i am talking about when it comes to paintball electronics.

As for the rest of the event what a sham!!! the draw was pathetic with the winning teamplaying a team of complete begginers 3 times in the morning, then i hear from spectators in the final the organiser of the tourny (the brother of the guys team in the final) came on the field to judge changing marshals decisions........ i heard this from marshals and other people there

funny how the prize money went to that team aint it...

The paint was dreadfull even the guy selling it to me said im sorry its so bad but i have to sell you this stuff and at this price my hands are tied!!!

Its a shame about that even one of the organisers is a really nice guy he even asked for help with the next event

The head judge kept claiming he had 20 years experiance what a load of rubbish he had no idea of the rules and just did what he liked

Noone was ever chronod on or off the field when one of the judges went out with a hand held the first person he tested shot over 300fps but the organisers bollocked him for testing people!!!!

I had every right to moan i paid more money to enter that event than an nspl leg i have been playing paintball 20 years and have never ever left an event and i have played some bad events! We were being stiffed and so were other teams.

I dont care what you or your team think of me they need to learn how to set up their equipment.
and the orgniser need to realise the implications of running an event ramping with no chronoing of rof testing is disgusting and im sure the ukpsf would love to know about them! because it is sites and organisers like that that will get the sport screwed!

The marker was checked by several of the marshalls with each test falling at under 15bps.

And as for somone decking me he didnt did he you are also all mouth!!!

Funny how you piped down when Pete advised you in no uncertain terms that the argument was finished? Shutting up at that point was the most sensible thing you did all day.

Don't get me started on old bill. For the most part they are more bent than Graeme Norton.

It was tested twice on a standard red site radar chrono which admittedly is not by any means the most accurate way of testing rof it does give a reasonable guide

The guys that placed 1st and 2nd deserved the win. Some of the old gits used mech cockers and other older weapons and put most of us to shame. We as a group of two teams had our best games of the day with them. For you to imply otherwise is pethetic.

The paint was dreadfull even the guy selling it to me said im sorry its so bad but i have to sell you this stuff and at this price my hands are tied!!!

We brought along our own paint so I personally cannot comment on that statement. I know others had some issues with the paint.

Its a shame about that even one of the organisers is a really nice guy he even asked for help with the next event

The head judge kept claiming he had 20 years experiance what a load of rubbish he had no idea of the rules and just did what he liked

Marshalling was better than I expected it to be. We had no major issues at all with any decisions on the day. At the end of the day we never expected this to be a full blown tournament environment. I cannot comment for the organisers but I expected it to be a relaxed, friendly and fun recreational tournament. Clearly you expected different?

Noone was ever chronod on or off the field when one of the judges went out with a hand held the first person he tested shot over 300fps but the organisers bollocked him for testing people!!!!

You contradict yourself a little there?

I had every right to moan i paid more money to enter that event than an nspl leg i have been playing paintball 20 years and have never ever left an event and i have played some bad events! We were being stiffed and so were other teams.

I am sure other teams will comment in time. Clearly you felt the world was against you on the day.

I dont care what you or your team think of me they need to learn how to set up their equipment.

I am not aware of the requirements for running an event such as this. I did feel however that I was safe all day. Nobody in my opinion was shooting in an obviously illigal / hot way.
See my comments above.

Based on your conduct yesterday it is clear you have some personal issues.

Clearly your ethics towards business are as farcical as most of your comments yesterday and in your last post. Need I remind you of the DM4 I waited almost half a year to get back after a series of lies and false promises by yourself.

Get off your soap box!

Not one marshall there had a clue how to use the chrono to test that gun

it was showing 9bps at one point over the chrono when it was clearly shooting way way more.

As for the DM4 i never lied to you about that you saw the pic you saw the description i did you a favour annodising it

Duse you are disliked by evryone on here just go you cant make a valid point on anything!

all your posts are the same

i dont have or need a soap box

This should've been left on the field.
The gun accusation only came after the disagreement we had.
TBH safety is paramount but the system for checking is what we all went by,what other option did we have, even when tested you refused to believe the results.
If you were the main protagonist, your conduct on and off the field did nothing for the day and showed your team in very poor light;it could've been handled better you were the ones screaming at everybody, which I'm afraid made me laugh more,it's about release m8 not warfare.
Apparently you'd been moaning all day(hearsay),dubious "tourny" calling(fact),the game was going well until we met on the field and you were eventually removed for 2 gun hits and 1 body hit which you decided to play on with...your reward 100 penalty points.

There was no claim of any "hot" gun, only that it was shooting faster than 15bps, which it absolutely was -- as someone who writes the software for these things I know very well by ear what 15bps sounds like. The problem with the red chronos is that they will read the ROF of the first 3 shots over them, which if ramping hasn't kicked in will obviously not give the true reading. The only semi-reliable way to read ROF with a red chrono is to start the gun ramping out of the way of the chrono, then move the line of paint into its field of view as it continues -- which uses up a lot of paint. That the first chrono reading came up as "9" ought to indicate how useless it is as a measurement.

Nobody was trying to accuse the player of intentionally setting the gun up to be illegal; it's ridiculously difficult to set ROF on Nerve boards because it is only set by adjusting Dwell and Recharge together and doing a lot of useless maths. It was pointed out only as a safety issue, not a way of trying to argue the outcome of the game. All it needed was for the player to agree to turn the ROF down (i.e. recharge up) for the rest of the day, for the safety of other players, and the argument would have be over.

I am not going to get involved in any of the other issues that went on, all I can say is that confrontational attitudes all round caused far more problems than the initial complaints themselves did, and it marred what could otherwise have been an enjoyable day. Credit to the member of staff (whose name I don't know, sorry) who took the time to take the players aside and chat reasonably about things, which calmed everyone down a lot.

Please do not let any of this reflect on the name of Maidenhead Trauma, it was a scratch team thrown together at the last minute (hence why we weren't well enough organised to bring our own paint, which is our own lookout really) and should have been entered under a different team name.

Sensible pov m8 as I said should've been left on the field.
As for the rof you know more than me(not taking the pi55)about boards and stuff.
The problem comes down to the chrono reading,it's what we go by,there were no other options and the gun was tested randomly after(in case he turned it up I suppose:rolleyes:).
There is far too many he said, she said comments in this thread.
We were calm but one of your number would not leave it,we couldn't reason with him, sorry m8 but TBH he was like a spoilt child, nothing anybody done would have appeased him..
