Ions

Hi i had a backup ion to my E2 cocker, they are good if you change the feedneck, barrel, trigger and add a qev (Quick exhaust valve) they will do want you want and are cheap (even though they look like toys) never had a problem with mine. ;)

Whats up with the karni m8?

Cheers Neil

if your looking to all have the same marker, then the ion would be the way to go, yes, however, if you dont mind having different markers, you could pick up a number of other (from what ive heard) better markers for the same price in the classifieds, have a look at:

impulses,
zerob e1 cockers,
(obviously) ifyou can find an e2 cocker,
angel ir3 (can get em for peanuts, but unless tere spitfired or similar they dont ramp),
angel 04 speed (veery sexy in my opinion),
A4 possibly in your price range,
if your willing to step up a bit in price theres a nice lookin silver proto for £200(a steal),

something like that, if you want an opinion, just post it up here and weel give you one (just remember that youll never get us to agree on the best gun lol:D )

good luck

EDIT- youll find most of these with upgrades if you have a good look, so that might bring some of the more expensive ones into your price range, since you wont have to upgrade em yourself.

As a starter marker ION's are perfect as easy to use maintain and easily upgraded. I have used a few and they are good value for money but when you get your team in full flow you may wanna upgrade to dm's egos or something of that standard but for what you want their great!!

I'd put an upped ion against my ego any day, just personal preference, other than that they are a little delicate inside and i prefer the user interface with the ego, the only other probs are bolt access and the single stack setup, feels too low for me but thats just preference.

If i had a mate who was starting up i'd recommend the ion any day....

The only thing is people are a little deceived by the price, in reality you need to add around £120-£150 to the list price, that'l get you a decent feedneck, rail, on/off and of course barrel.
