Just to muddy the waters ,if you close the R2 down it should be legal. The capacity was declared in metric capacity ,not ball count so good luck refs !! Locklids and the big virtue pots are oversize .How many refs are going to ask you to remove all pots for examination on the start ? Would have been far simpler to have had 4 pots per player and an empty loader .But this is paintball ,where the bleedin obvious is not complicated enough!

While I have no idea of the r2's metric capacity, the limit as written was for a maximum of 280 paintballs as well as 1500ml, so until clarified by the millennium I can't see an issue using it in the extended position.

I have just checked Dye site ,R2 is a 200/260 ball loader so the R2 is legal always .Am not looking up the spire ,but this makes a nonsense of a level playing field.Also far harder for refs to adjudicate. If you are going to chrono can you take more on to the field ? How many balls are in a loader? are the pots the right size? Did that bloke have 6 and just passed them round ? and as the 30 seconds is just up ,"Chinstraps everyone" !! (Spire 3 is also 200/260).

Not really sure what this whole chin strap thing is about we have gone many years without them. Hopefully that gets scrapped or only appplies in Nxl/mills and not national level

I have a feeling a lot of gi teams will be shooting them this year.

HK Buys the rights to the Bob Long Marq. Dynasty to shoot HK Vcom's this year. Also means they own all the engines for the marq platform.

Houston Heat Moving to HK Army?
February 2, 2017

Houston Heat announced yesterday that they would be using, Virtue Vio goggles, something I didn’t write about because it didn’t seem like a big deal.

We have heard today that the team is also working on a deal that would take them to HK Army.

The deal would likely get Houston Heat into HK Army: pants, packs, gloves and pads. Heat’s new players were also seen using HK Army Zero G harnesses this past weekend at Camp Pendleton, during their practice with Dynasty and the Ironmen. If Heat end up going with HK Army they would stick with the Virtue Spire III and Vio goggles. I’m assuming that Heat would stick with Anthrax for jerseys.

They had BK packs on, Sarge said they were trying out a bunch of stuff to see which they liked. That's how they chose Virtue.
