Paintball is a great first date, BECAUSE it doesn't spell first date!
You sort of catch them unaware....
You know, get them to think you just enjoy spending time with them, blah blah and so on.Ask any girl on this forum, it's good to be non obvious.
Wow! Many thanks for the help so far--keep it coming! If only I had her email address at the moment perhaps you could forward some of this stuff. Definately the jersey can wait, as you pointed out rather well that it's overkill, plus it might not be too good an idea to make it look like I can just do that at the drop of a hat, have her expecting an IR3 for the 2nd date when I can't even get myself one. I do enjoy spending time with her, but the $2k+ bit is a bit farfetched for someone I thus far only eat lunch with and stop in by to pick up credit card slips and golf balls. Her sister just had a kid last night and she told me how weird it is to be an aunt at 23. Couldn't agree more! Meanwhile I need to some SERIOUSLY HARDCORE cleaning at my apartment to avoid troubles there...allen wrenches and dirty dishes in the floor don't exactly paint a good picture of suitable dating material. She may be finding a new job in a month or so, so I need to make this count!
The house cleaning is a must! Not particularly to make it look spotlessly neat & tidy, but cleanliness of places like the kitchen & bathroom & the lack of old food lying around is quite important.
It might be worth it if you had a word with some of the people at the site you are thinking of taking her to as well. Not to ask them to make you look like the greatest player on earth 'cause that won't mean much to her, but just so you are shown to be a caring person that looks after people & others look up to as a natural leader. Going out with the "leader of the pack" is always better than going out with the guy nobody else wants to hang with.
