yep you got it tournament paintball is playing on the small fields with inflatable bunkers, really fast paced
unfortunately the only way to really know if a mask is comfortable is to try it on. although i can personally say from experience that more expensive masks have obviously had more money put into the development of it, plus they use higher quality foam and stuff so generally, the upper end masks are quite good for comfort. double check with where your buying to make sure they'll take it back if your not happy with your purchase, which most are
okay the important bit, cost
. again it just depends on your budget, but honestly, if you spend maybe about £40-50 on a pair of paintball trousers, you shouldnt go wrong. yeah you can use a rental pack if you want but its all perrsonal choice, really any pack which you buy at the correct size will do the job
so doesnt need to be really expensive
yes yes yes knee protection is important
especially when playing in woods, lots of things for you to hurt yourself on. just the other day a mate of mine fell hitting his knee off some rocks, if it wasnt for the kneepads on his playing trousers, he would probably have broken his kneecap or something.
great choice on the PMR! its a solid gun so i've heard, got all the standard feautres you would expect from a gun in that price range
. just remember you'll also need a loader for your gun. cant recommend the INVERT HALO TOO enough, for the price its a fantastic wee loader. yep it will be great in the woods, after all, this style gun is nice and light, so you have advantage over people carrying awkward big guns
all in i would probably budget around £170 for a suitable set of trousers, pack, loader and mask, maybe even a sneaky jersey if you get some bargains
sadly its an expensive sport to play, but i think you'll agree worth it haha.
sorry cant be much help on teams, i'm from scotland, but if you have a look there is a comprehensive teams list thread in this website. maybe some of the guys on here will point you in the right direction too.
Hope all this helps mate, any more questions gimme a shout!
